Here's a look at Mother’s Day brunch and dinner options in the Milwaukee area

Mother’s Day is May 8, and it can be enjoyed in many different ways as a celebration of the important women in our lives.

So here is a list of restaurants and nearby resorts offering special menus for Mother’s Day.

Alpine Valley Resort Brunch

Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 with a menu of specials that begin with a choice of fresh berries yogurt parfait and granola ($7); sugar doughnuts ($8); a fruit platter ($12), or breakfast nachos ($12). Entrees feature carrot cake pancakes ($10) with ginger syrup; pan seared salmon ($18) with red potatoes and asparagus; chicken enchiladas ($12); Cali, Greek, or Brie & bacon omelets ($12-$13) served with breakfast potatoes and toast; a spinach and artichoke quiche ($14); eggs benedict ($12); and egg and steak Benedict ($17). The kids menu includes a fruit plate ($7) or chocolate chip pancakes ($7).

Apple Holler

Take-home dinners are available as individual, or as family size serving four to six people. Place orders by noon May 4 for pickup from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 7 and 9 a.m. to noon May 8.

The turkey dinner ($32.95 individual; $149.95 family), the apple cider glazed ham dinner ($32.95 individual; $149.95 family), and the prime roast beef dinner ($38.95 individual; $189.95 family) all feature mashed potatoes and gravy, honey glazed carrots, apple-bread stuffing, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, dinner rolls and apple butter, apple pie and apple cider.

The Bartolotta Restaurants

The restaurant group will offer brunch and dinner menus at seven of its restaurants, with curbside pickup available at the Harbor House, and a brunch buffet at the Italian Community Center.

The brunch buffet will be 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 at the Italian Community Center, priced at $59 for adults and $22 for children. The menu features appetizers, pasta and salads, chicken and salmon, omelets, carved sirloin, turkey breast, a kid’s table with French toast sticks and chicken fingers, and desserts.

The Bacchus brunch menu is $58 per person and includes a choice of entrees such as grilled flank steak, brioche French toast, filet medallions, sauteed salmon, or eggs benedict. The Lake Park Bistro brunch menu is $55 per person and features quiche Lorraine, a buckwheat crepe with ham, Scottish salmon, French toast, poached crab, a hanger steak, roasted Strauss lamb loin, a baked puff-pastry, or traditional eggs benedict. The Ristorante Bartolotta brunch menu, $55, includes main course choices such as French toast with bacon, a baked Italian frittata, eggs benedict with roasted potatoes, pasta with lamb ragu, seared chicken breast with red potatoes, pan-roasted salmon, or a wood-roasted beef filet with scrambled eggs.

Pricing at the following restaurants is based on entrée choices. Joey Gerard’s brunch menu includes a mushroom omelet, eggs benedict, a breakfast burger, filet mignon, prime rib, grilled salmon or lobster, and country fried steak and eggs. Mr. B’s Steakhouse in Brookfield and Mr. B’s Steakhouse in Mequon feature pancakes, eggs benedict, roasted chicken breast, roasted salmon, a cobb salad, steak and eggs, a seafood omelet, filet mignon, or a Manhattan Cut NY Strip. Harbor House entrées feature eggs benedict, waffles, a frittata, lobster tail, sea bass, salmon, scallops, halibut, filet mignon, prime rib roast, roast lamb, or Surf & Turf combinations.

Grand Geneva Resort

Mother’s Day lunch will be served in the Geneva ChopHouse with reservations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The three-course menu is served family-style with sides, desserts and chef carved meats, which include roasted lamb; roasted NY strip; and honey and dijon glazed salmon. $85 for adults; $42.50 for children ages 6 to 12; $30 for children ages 3 to 5 years. The Grand Cafe will serve a breakfast buffet from 6:30 a.m. to noon with all seating first-come, first-served. $22 for adults; $14 for children ages 6 to 12; $9 for children ages 3 to 5. The Pfister

The hotel offers a Mother’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. The buffet menu includes salads and fresh fruit, a seafood station, traditional brunch entrées, artisanal bread displays, a pasta bar, a carving station serving ham and prime rib, and a desert table. Adults ($72), children ages 3 to 10 years ($29). Tax and gratuity are not included. Reservations: (414) 935-5950.

Potawatomi Hotel & Casino

Dine-in at the Legacy Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a Mother’s Day brunch. The buffet menu includes prime rib, turkey breast, shrimp cocktail and crab cakes, with a griddle bar serving pancakes and French toast. Omelets, frittatas and crepes are included, with traditional brunch items such as bacon and sausage, a hash brown bake, whipped sweet potatoes, fruit and pastry. Assorted coffees, teas, juices and soft drinks are included in the buffet price. $60 for ages 10 and up, and $20 for ages 3 to 9 years. Gratuity is included. Reservations are encouraged. The Red Circle Inn

Brunch at the Inn features a four course dinner served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and priced from $24 to $38, based on main entrée choices. The menu features roast prime rib, filet mignon, grilled salmon, Louisiana jambalaya, beef burgundy, bananas foster french toast, or crab cake benedict hollandaise. Dessert includes the choice of a chocolate mint tart, french toast bread pudding, carrot cake, a cereal milk panna cotta, toffee cheese cake, crème brulée, or an ice cream sundae. Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel

Mother’s Day weekend at the hotel features a five course dinner at Aria from noon to 7 p.m. May 8.

The Mother’s Day dinner ($75) main dishes include char-grilled hanger steak, poached salmon, or a pan-roasted half Amish chicken. Sanford Restaurant

Pre-order brunch by 3 p.m. May 4, with curbside pick-up from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. May 7. The brunch package ($240) serves four, and is a cold pick-up with simple heating instructions, which includes slow roasted rib of beef, spring vegetables, Yukon potato puree, red wine beef jus, rolls and butter, with lemon pound cake for dessert.
