Any mall walkers out there? Walk through a winter wonderland at Foothills mall this holiday season, as the shopping center transforms. Starting Nov. 20, the Foothills "pond" — its seasonal ice skating rink — opened for business. Appropriately, the pond is also home to the mall's giant Christmas tree, which will be lit every evening.

Garden of Lights will run each evening from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 10 through Dec. 26 (except Christmas). The NightLights 'Big Blue Tree'

Where: The front lawn of First Presbyterian Church, 531 S. College Ave.

When: Nightly starting Dec. 1

For nearly 25 years, the "big blue tree" in front of First Presbyterian Church has been a glowing sign of the work Northern Colorado nonprofit Realities for Children does to support area children and shine a light on child abuse and neglect. It's also a holiday tradition — and pretty hard to miss if you're driving near the intersection of College Avenue and Mulberry Street on a December night. The NightLights tree will be lit at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 as part of a community lighting ceremony complete with live music, free hot drinks, treats and a visit from Santa. It will be lit nightly after that. To donate a night light to the tree in support of Realities for Children, head to the nonprofit's website.

Old Town holiday lights

Where: Old Town Fort Collins

When: Dusk to dawn every night through Feb. 14

Per tradition, Old Town is twinkling with thousands of LED lights wrapped throughout its tree-lined streets. Grab a hot chocolate on a snowy night and take a spin through downtown to get the full snow globe effect.

The Promenade Shops at Centerra's Chapungu Sculpture Park is officially in holiday mode.
