Most popular bridesmaid dress colors in 2022: What tops the list in Arizona and nationwide

The most popular color for a bridesmaid dress in Arizona might be one that's not typically associated with the Grand Canyon state beyond our iconic saguaro cactus.

But it so happens that sage green is apparently the most-searched bridesmaid dress color in Arizona, according to an analysis of Google Trends data of the most searched bridesmaid dress color in each state that was commissioned by online fashion retailer Boohoo.

This follows an overall trend in the U.S., with searches for sage dresses increasing 476% since January.

Maine, Montana and Utah also show sage as the most-searched bridesmaid dress color. Other shades of green, including emerald and olive, also have proven to be popular.

Popular bridesmaid dress colors in 2022

Our own research, meanwhile, shows rose gold bridesmaid dresses seeing a 50% uptick in search interest in Arizona this year.

Other popular bridesmaid dress colors across the country, according to Boohoo, are:

  • Gold (Idaho, Maryland, Mississippi, New Mexico, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington).

  • Burgundy (Alabama, Colorado, Delaware, Nebraska, Oregon and South Dakota).

  • Orange and terra cotta (Kentucky, Rhode Island, Iowa, Minnesota and Texas).

  • Purple, mauve and lilac (New Hampshire, Indiana, Tennessee and New Jersey).

  • Pink (Wyoming and Louisiana).

The color that ranks highest in most states?

Gray.

Looks like a lot of people in Alaska, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Florida, Michigan and New York (and an extra shout-out to Kansas residents searching for taupe dresses) are looking for a lovely washed-out look for their bridesmaids.
