A new solution to help town residents more easily find parking on the island kicks off Monday.

Palm Beach announced that it is launching its new Townwide Residential ParkMobile Sticker Program, which lets eligible residents get the first two hours for free in any ParkMobile parking space in town.

The resident parking sticker is part of the town’s recently adopted seven-point parking plan.

Here’s how the program will work when it launches Nov. 13.

How much does it cost?

Each decal costs $50.

How can residents apply for the new sticker?

Applications will be accepted online at palmbeach.aimsparking.com beginning Nov. 13. Those who need in-person assistance can book a time at www.townofpalmbeach.com.

Who is eligible?

Property owners or renters with a current 12-month or longer lease who live in the town on streets that don’t have permit-parking only spaces are eligible for the new stickers, the town said.

Hotel guests are not eligible.

To prove residency, a person must have a recent utility bill for a town address in their name; or a court-registered mortgage document, deed, condominium contract, trust, lease agreement, Florida identification card or driver’s license with a town address.

If you apply online, you will need to scan and upload one of the forms of proof of residency. If you apply in person, you will need to bring that proof of residency with you.

Residents who already have a Residential Parking Permit sticker can now park in their designated zone and receive the first two hours for free in any ParkMobile space in Palm Beach.

What does the new sticker look like?

The sticker is pink with the town logo — a backwards P that shares a stem with a B — and an identifying number with an expiration date.

The color of the sticker will change each year, the town said.

Where does the sticker go?

The new sticker must be placed on the vehicle’s left rear bumper.

What else do residents need to know?

New ParkMobile parking signs will be installed throughout the town in 2024, the town said.

The new signs will be similar to those in place now, but they will have the town logo.

Residents with the new parking sticker still need to obey posted time limits. Only the first two hours are free. Drivers who park outside posted time limits or beyond the two free hours without paying to extend the time could receive citations.
