Here's a peek at upcoming Independence Day events at Randolph

All Randolph County offices will be closed, Monday, in observance of the July 4 holiday.

  • There are a handful of events scheduled for the Fourth of July holiday including fireworks at Creekside Park at 214 Park Dr. in Archedale.

  • Organized by Archedale's Parks and Recreation Department, the event will start 6 p.m. and features a number of food trucks from the area and throughout North Carolina. Participating food trucks include Menchies Frozen Yogurt, The Chill Shark, and Kyle's Concessions, among others.

  • As visitors eat, they can enjoy music by Walden Sound Systems. The fireworks display is scheduled for after dusk.

  • The Asheboro Zookeepers baseball team also plans to have an Independence Day game, scheduled for 7 p.m., at McCrary Park on 603 North Fayetteville St. in Asheboro.

  • While adult and reserve tickets are $7 and $10 respectively, those under 5 may enter for free.

  • There will be a fireworks display, scheduled for 9 p.m., following the game.
