Here's a peek at upcoming Independence Day events in Randolph
All Randolph County offices will be closed, Monday, in observance of the July 4 holiday.
There are a handful of events scheduled for the Fourth of July holiday including fireworks at Creekside Park at 214 Park Dr. in Archedale.
Organized by Archedale's Parks and Recreation Department, the event will start 6 p.m. and features a number of food trucks from the area and throughout North Carolina. Participating food trucks include Menchies Frozen Yogurt, The Chill Shark, and Kyle's Concessions, among others.
As visitors eat, they can enjoy music by Walden Sound Systems. The fireworks display is scheduled for after dusk.
The Asheboro Zookeepers baseball team also plans to have an Independence Day game, scheduled for 7 p.m., at McCrary Park on 603 North Fayetteville St. in Asheboro.
While adult and reserve tickets are $7 and $10 respectively, those under 5 may enter for free.
There will be a fireworks display, scheduled for 9 p.m., following the game.
