Nov. 10—GRAND FORKS — Following is a quick glance at the results of elections that were included on the Nov. 8 ballots of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks voters.

U.S. Senate:

John Hoeven, Republican, 56%; Katrina Christiansen, Democrat-NPL, 25%; Rick Becker, independent, 19%.

U.S. House:

Kelly Armstrong, Republican, 62%; Cara Mund, independent, 38%.

Secretary of state:

Michael Howe, Republican, 63%; Jeffrey Powell, Democrat-NPL, 27%; Charles Tuttle, independent, 9%.

Attorney general:

Drew Wrigley, Republican, 71%; Timothy Lamb, Democrat-NPL, 29%.

N.D. agriculture commissioner:

Doug Goehring, 76%; Fintan L. Dooley, Democrat-NPL, 24%.

N.D. Public Service Commission:

Julie Fedorchak, Republican, 71%; Melanie Moniz, Democrat-NPL, 29%

N.D. Public Service Commission: Sheri Haugen-Hoffart, Republican, 70%; Trygve Hammer, Democrat-NPL, 29%.

County Commission (vote for no more than three):

Bob Rost, 9,277 votes; Kimberly Hagen, 7,851 votes; Mark Rustad, 6,729 votes; Lon Kvasager, 6,702; Tom Falck, 5,605 votes; and K.C. Inman, 4,368 votes. NOTE: This race has triggered a recount for the third open seat.

State Measure 1:

A proposal to limit the number of terms of members of the state Legislature: Yes, 63%; No, 37%.

State Measure 2:

A proposal to legalize the production, processing and sale of cannabis by those who are 21 or older. (More commonly referred to as the recreational marijuana measure): No, 55%; Yes, 45%.

County Measure 1:

A proposal to adopt a home rule charter for Grand Forks County: Yes, 8,397 votes; No, 8,377 votes. NOTE: This vote has triggered a recount.

County Measure 2: A proposal to adopt a half-cent tax on sales in Grand Forks County: No, 9,019 votes; Yes, 8,998 votes. NOTE: This vote has triggered a recount.

District 43 House (this race wass only for a portion of Grand Forks residents. Vote for two)

: Eric J. Murphy, Republican, 1,759 votes; Zachary Ista, Democrat-NPL, 1,716 votes; Mary Adams, 1,713 votes; Ethan Harsell, Republican, 1,582 votes. NOTE: This vote has triggered a recount.

District 43 Senate (only for a portion of Grand Forks residents): Jeff Barta, Republican, 1,963 votes; JoNell Bakke, Democrat-NPL, 1,737 votes.

District 7 U.S. House:

Michelle Fischbach, Republican, 67%; Jill Abahsain, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, 28%; Travis "Bull" Johnson, Legal Marijuana Now Party, 5.4%.

District 1B House:

Debra Kiel, Republican, 71%; Cynthia Ansbacher, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, 29%.

Governor/lieutenant governor:

Tim Walz/Penny Flanagan, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, 52%; Scott Jensen/Matt Birk, Republican, 45%.

Secretary of state:

Steve Simon, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, 54.6%; Kim Crockett, Republican, 45.4%.

State auditor:

Julie Blaha, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, 47.5%; Ryan Wilson, Republican, 47.2% (the vote tally saw Blaha receiving 1,167,878 votes to Wilson's 1,159,410); Tim Davis, Legal Marijuana Now, 3.6%; Will Finn, Grassroots Legalize Cannabis Party, 1.8%.

Attorney general

: Keith Ellison, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, 50.4%; Jim Schultz, Republican, 49.6%.

County Commission District 2: Warren Strandell, 1,127 votes; Curtis Knutson, 1,038 votes.

County Commission District 4: Joan K. Lee, 1,368 votes; Dennis Boucher, 876 votes.

City Council (vote for one):

Ben Pokrzywinski, 245 votes; Clarence V. Vetter, 219 votes; Karen Peterson, 103 votes.

School Board (vote for up to three): Amanda Holweger, 1,791 votes; Josh Perkerewicz, 1,493; Lindsey King, 1,466 votes; Matt Foss, 1,103 votes; Thomas Piche, 1,095 votes.
