Led by artist Archie Barry, this free workshop is open to anyone interested in examining connections between voice, movement, and space. Together, we will explore a sequence of vocal exercises gathered from various fields, including dramaturgical warm-up exercises, therapeutic traditions, guided meditation and sound paired with improvised movement, all of which are strategies that Barry regularly employs when devising new work. No formal singing training or other experience is necessary.

Urban Growler will be offering a wing flight of five sauces, some classics and some new. Wings can be either chicken or cauliflower.

Female role models, whether newly created or Biblical, pervade music of the Baroque. Most insightful are those characterizations about women written by women composers. Including works by Jacquet de la Guerre, Strozzi, Caccini and Leonarda, this concert explores how women’s stories were told through the lens of women living in that era.
