Blockbuster “Hamilton: An American Musical” tickets for $10 each?

Yup, that’s a thing: Starting April 14, you can enter an online lottery for a chance to buy two $10 tickets for the April 25 to May 7 run at Old National Centre.

The Tony-, Grammy- and Pulitzer prize-winning phenomenon brought elements of hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway and cast diverse actors in lead roles to tell the story of America founding father Alexander Hamilton.

Each performance will have 40 $10 seats available.

It’s easy to enter.

Take it from a five-time Hamilton musical lottery – or #HAM4HAM – winner.

How to get discounted Hamilton tickets

Using the official Hamilton app, I scored the chance to buy $10 tickets five times during its 2016-2020 engagement in Chicago. With a single tap, I entered daily, usually after I was prompted with an alert.

They were good seats, too. Each time I sat in a different part of the theater to watch Miguel Cervantes shine as Alexander Hamilton before he went on to the role on Broadway.

To enter go to the app, hamiltonmusical.com and select a performance. Tickets are capped at two per person, and each person is limited to one entry per selected performance.

The lottery is open from 10 a.m. April 14 through 12 p.m. April 20 for tickets to performances April 25 to April 30.

Subsequent digital lotteries will begin each Friday and close the following Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances.

Winners will be notified every Thursday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. for the upcoming week's performances.

Winners must claim and pay for the tickets within a two-hour window, and pick up the tickets at the will call window on the night of the performances for which they've won.

Good luck!
