Several Arizona politicians are paying up on the food-related bets they made with Texas counterparts after the Arizona Diamondbacks lost the World Series to the Texas Rangers.

In several posts on X, formally known as Twitter, Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, both R-Texas, shared photos of Sens. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., and Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., sporting Rangers' jerseys.

Rep. David Schweikert, R-Ariz., also shared video on X of him delivering food to Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, to pay off his bet.

After an impressive postseason run, the Diamondbacks faced off against the Rangers in the World Series in late October. However, the Rangers went on to win the series in five games and took home the trophy on Nov. 1.

Sporting a Rangers jersey, Kelly, in photos shared by Cornyn and Cruz, was shown giving Sonoran hotdogs from El Guero Canelo, churros and Four Peak Brewing Company's Kilt Lifter beer to Senate staff, which was all as part of the bet, according Sinema's office.

On X, Kelly shared that the churros had come from Barrio Café, a Mexican restaurant in midtown Phoenix.

"Promises made, promises kept," Sinema wrote on X. "The Diamondbacks may have lost to the Rangers this year, but at least Arizona food and beer will always come out on top."

Sinema also shared a photo of her wearing a Rangers jersey in front of the U.S. Capitol.

Cornyn and Cruz challenged Sinema and Kelly to the bet on Oct. 27 through a video on X. "You're on," Sinema wrote on X.

Cruz thanked the senators for the "delicious Arizona cooking" and Cornyn followed.

"Thanks to Senators Kelly and Sinema for paying off on Senator Cruz’s and my World Series bet," Cornyn wrote in a Dec. 12 post. "The Sonoran hotdog was great; the picture of Senator Kelly in a Rangers jersey, priceless."

Meanwhile, Schweikert bet barbecue and tacos with Williams, who represents the district that includes the Rangers' field. Because of the Diamondbacks' loss in the series, earlier this month, Schweikert delivered tacos to the Texas' representative's office.

While carrying his son Matthew, Schweikert delivered many different varieties of tacos — ranging from shrimp to shredded beef — to Williams' office on Dec. 6, according to a post on X.

"I’m a man of my word. Congrats to Rep. Williams and your Rangers on a hard-fought (first) World Series win," Schweikert said on X. "Enjoy the tacos — but don't get too cocky! My Diamondbacks will be making a comeback next year."

Kelly also shared a similar optimistic message as Schweikert for another — or more — successful season for the Diamondbacks next year.

"Congrats on the World Series win but watch out! The Diamondbacks will be back next year," Kelly wrote.

Despite Kelly, Sinema and Schwiekert's less than successful bets, one Arizona representative had success in their food-related bet surrounding the Diamondbacks' postseason games.

Ahead of Game 7 of the National League Championship Series, Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., bet Rep. Brendan Boyle, D-Penn., tacos and cheesesteaks based on which representatives' team won. The Diamondbacks were playing the Philadelphia Phillies in the series and won Game 7, which sent them to the World Series.
