Here's how the Topeka-area athletes finished at the KU Relays this weekend

The Kansas Relays returned to Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence for its 100th anniversary, welcoming top collegiate and high school track athletes from Kansas and the surrounding states.

While inclement weather delayed and eventually canceled a few events, the majority of events were able to take place. Following is how the Topeka-area participants did.

Hayden

Boys

  • 100-meter dash: Junior Finn Dunshee ran a time of 10.89, 27th out of 39 competitors.

  • 110-meter hurdles: Senior Jake Muller ran a time of 15.93, 41st out of 41 competitors.

  • 300-meter hurdles: Senior Jake Muller ran a time of 40.21, 8th out of 40 competitors.

  • 400-meter run: Sophomore Jensen Schrickel ran a time of 50.52 on Friday, 6th out of 31 competitors, to qualify for finals on Saturday. Schrickel ran a time of 52.21 on Saturday, placing eighth.

  • Long jump: Sophomore Jensen Schrickel placed 8th out of 23 competitors with a jump of 21'.5".

  • Javelin: Senior JC Cummings placed 19th out of 22 competitors with a throw of 145"10'.

  • 4x100 meter relay: Junior Finn Dunshee, senior Jake Muller, sophomore Jensen Schrickel and senior Ethan Florence ran a time of 43.31 on Friday, third in its heat to qualify for finals on Saturday. On Saturday, they ran a time of 44.40, placing 14th out of 15 teams.

  • 4x400 meter relay: Junior Finn Dunshee, senior Jake Muller, sophomore Jensen Schrickel and senior Ethan Florence — Canceled due to weather.

Girls

  • 100-meter hurdles: Sophomore Bella Reid ran a time of 16.47, 32nd out of 37 competitors.

  • 400-meter run: Junior Natalie Hillebert ran a time of 58.65 on Friday, qualifying her for the finals. Hillebert ran a time of 1:00.35 in the finals to place seventh.

  • 4x100 meter relay: Junior Reagan Huscher, junior Natalie Hillebert, junior Hannah Sams, and senior Sarah Schmidt ran a time of 52.95, 59th out of 74 teams.

  • 4x400 meter relay: Junior Natalie Hillebert, sophomore Elliot Wrench, senior Molly Brown and junior Avery Grunert — Canceled due to weather.

  • Girls Sprint Medley: Sophomore Josslyn Randa, junior Natalie Hillebert, sophomore Rae North and junior Elliot Wrench ran a time of 4:54.27, 25th out of 25 teams.

Highland Park

Boys

  • 110-meter hurdles: Senior Keijuan Johnson ran a time of 15.23, 24th out of 41 competitors.

  • 300-meter hurdles: Senior Keijuan Johnson ran a time of 52.48, 40th out of 40 competitors.

  • Long jump: Senior Tre Richardson — DNS.

  • Triple jump: Senior Tre Richardson placed fourth (45'9.25") out of 25 competitors.

  • 4x100 meter relay team: Senior Jahlil McCraken, freshman Lajic McMillion, freshman Tremain Savage and junior Artie Fletcher ran a time of 47.62, 67th out of 69 teams.

  • 4x400 meter relay team: senior Jahlil McCraken, freshman Lajic McMillion, freshman Tremain Savage, junior Artie Fletcher — Canceled due to weather.

Seaman

Boys

  • 110-meter hurdles: Junior Aaron Merritt ran a time of 14.73, 10th out of 41 competitors.

  • Distance Medley Relay: Freshman Brody Anderson, sophomore Bryce Cochran, senior Zach Jowers and senior Branen Moore ran a time of 11:22.33, 22nd out of 26 teams.

  • 4x100 meter relay team: Junior Aaron Merritt, junior Jacob Anderson, senior Jaxson Thomas and senior Adonis VanLeeuwen ran a time of 44.81, 48th out of 69 teams.

  • 4x200 meter relay team: junior Aaron Merritt, junior Jacob Anderson, sophomore Bryce Cochran and senior Jaxon Thomas — DQ.

  • 4x400 meter relay team: freshman Brody Anderson, sophomore Bryce Cochran, senior Branen Moore, senior Landon Stuke — Canceled due to weather.

  • 4x800 meter relay team: Freshman Brody Anderson, senior Zach Jowers, senior Branen Moore and senior Landon Stuke ran a time of 8:29.88, 33rd out of 40 teams.

Girls

  • 100-meter hurdles: Junior Taylin Stallbaumer ran a time of 16.10, 25th out of 37 competitors.

  • 100-meter hurdles: Sophomore Jaida Stallbaumer ran a time of 17.83, 37th out of 37 competitors.

  • 800-meter run: Senior Bethany Druse ran a time of 2:21.67, 8th out of 40 competitors.

  • Javelin: Junior Ally Trier placed 17th out of 27 competitors with a 122'3" total in her throws.

  • Discus: Senior Anna Domann placed 23rd out of 23 competitors with a throw of 98'8".

  • Distance Medley Relay: Sophomore Ryin Miller, sophomore Taylie Heston, junior Savannah Sampson and senior Leah Spurlock ran a time of 13:51.79, 20th out of 27 teams.

  • Sprint Medley Relay: Sophomore Ally Steiner, sophomore Jaida Stallbaumer, sophomore Anna Becker and sophomore Stella Appelhanz ran a time of 4:44.06, 24th out of 25 teams.

  • 4x100 meter relay: Junior Taylin Stallbaumer, sophomore Ally Steiner, sophomore Jaida Stallbaumer and senior Madison Kobuszewski ran a time of 52.81, 57th out of 74 teams.

  • 4x800 meter relay: Senior Bethany Druse, sophomore Taylie Heston, junior Savannah Sampson and sophomore Ryin Miller ran a time of 10:14.16, 11th out of 40 teams.
