Here's what's on the ballot for residents of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks

Nov. 5—GRAND FORKS — From high-profile races about statewide and federal offices to local elections and measures, voters in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks will have full ballots when they head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Following is a summary of what is on a typical ballot in both cities.

(Unopposed races are not included)

U.S. Senate: Rick Becker, independent; Katrina Christiansen, Democrat-NPL; John Hoeven, Republican.

U.S. House: Cara Mund, independent; Kelly Armstrong, Republican.

Secretary of state: Michael Howe, Republican; Charles Tuttle, independent; Jeffrey Powell, Democrat-NPL.

Attorney general: Drew Wrigley, Republican; Timothy Lamb, Democrat-NPL.

N.D. agriculture commissioner: Fintan L. Dooley, Democrat-NPL; Doug Goehring, Republican.

N.D. Public Service Commission: Julie Fedorchak, Republican; Melanie Moniz, Democrat-NPL.

N.D. Public Service Commission: Sheri Haugen-Hoffart, Republican; Trygve Hammer, Democrat-NPL.

County Commission (vote for no more than three): Tom Falck, Lon Kvasager, K.C. Inman, Kimberly Hagen, Mark Rustad and Bob Rost.

Measure 1: A proposal to limit the number of terms of members of the state Legislature (vote yes or no).

Measure 2: A proposal to legalize the production, processing and sale of cannabis by those who are 21 or older. (More commonly referred to as the recreational marijuana measure).

County Measure 1: A proposal to adopt a home rule charter for Grand Forks County.

County Measure 2: A proposal to adopt a half-cent tax on sales in Grand Forks County, the proceeds of which shall be dedicated to: 60% to country infrastructure needs, 20% to property tax relief and 20% to Grand Forks County roads, bridges and culverts. (Note: This measure cannot be approved unless County Measure 1 is approved).

District 43 House (this race is only for a portion of Grand Forks residents): Eric J. Murphy, Republican; Zachary Ista, Democrat-NPL; Ethan Harsell, Republican; Mary Adams, Democrat-NPL (vote for no more than two).

District 43 Senate (only for a portion of Grand Forks residents): Jeff Barta, Republican; JoNell Bakke, Democrat-NPL.
