Here's what's new at Wooster Daily Record and The-Daily-Record.com

As most of you know by now, Monday's newspaper will only be available online via our e-edition as we embark on a new era in the Wooster Daily Record's storied history.

We're still publishing a print newspaper the other six days of the week and will have journalists working 365 days a year for immediate updates on The-Daily-Record.com and our mobile app.

6 reasons to subscribe: Here's why you should subscribe to the Wooster Daily Record

Anyone with a smartphone, tablet or computer can access the e-edition — a replica of the printed paper — through any web browser or an app available for Apple and Android devices.

We've helped many print subscribers activate their digital access in recent weeks. We've also made several major enhancements to the e-edition to deliver more content, including expanded national news and sports headlines.

We're also making a few tweaks and exciting additions to our print puzzles and games, which are detailed below. Those are also available in the e-edition and can be printed at home on Mondays or if two or more people want to fill in the squares.

What's new online?

Access to all network e-editions: Subscribers can now access more than 200 USA TODAY Network publications through our e-edition. Simply go to the-daily-record.com/eedition or our app and select the "universal" icon on the right rail. From there, you can choose a publication to read. As a reminder, the electronic edition of USA TODAY is also available every weekday as a bonus section.

New national sections: We've added two daily sections –– Nation & World Extra and Sports Extra — to the e-edition. News in these sections will not be found in the corresponding day’s printed newspaper. Expanded coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a staple of this section in the past week.

Sharing digital access: As a subscriber, you can share your subscription with a friend or family member. They will receive their own login and can access it as long as you remain a subscriber. Go to account.the-daily-record.com and make sure you are logged in (in the top right corner, you should see a button labeled "Hi *your name*” if you are already logged in. If not, click on the button for “Sign In.”). Next, select your name and go to “Manage Account." In the left-hand menu, look for “Share digital subscription." Click on that and enter the name and e-mail address of the person to share access. An e-mail will be sent to their inbox with further instructions on setting up their own credentials.

How do I activate digital access?

All print subscriptions already include digital access. Customers must first link their accounts by activating access.

On The-Daily-Record.com, click on sign-in in the top right corner and then activate account and follow the process.

You will need your nine-digit account number, which can be found on renewal notices in the upper right-hand corner of our invoice and remittance section. Please note these numbers changed in November due to a system conversion. You’ll also need the phone number we have on file for you.

If you need help with either number, we recommend emailing circulation@the-daily-record.com and asking for them. Please provide your name and address. Once you are signed in, please keep a record of your information in case you need to sign in again.

What's changing in print?

To improve our design process, we're relocating all of our puzzles, games and comics in one series of pages that will appear either in the back of sports or the life sections on days it appears. Puzzles are being moved from classified pages and we're adding a few new options.

The daily crossword will now come from McMeel.

We will continue to carry Dear Abby, horoscopes, Jumble, Sudoku, and we're adding Celebrity Cipher.

Answers to the puzzles can be found daily at answers.usatoday.com. Solutions to Saturday's puzzles will appear in the Monday e-edition only. Beginning next week, solutions to Sunday's puzzles will appear on the same website and in print the following Sunday.

Reaching customer service

The winter weather, labor shortage and other challenges has impacted delivery times for some customers in recent months. If you need to contact customer service, your best option is to email circulation@the-daily-record.com, call 330-996-3600 or visit help.the-daily-record.com. It's not necessary to speak with customer service when reporting a missed paper by phone. Accounts are credited in the form of a 1-day extension in your subscription.

Please understand newsroom employees are unable to provide direct assistance, do not have access to customer data or work in the delivery department. Contacting customer service is the quickest way to resolve issues and ensure you can see our content.
