The upcoming Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band 2023 tour is going to be big — but you don't have to wait until next year to see some in the group.

Springsteen will join Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner in discussion at the “Like A Rolling Stone” event Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the 92nd Street Y in New York City. They're going to talk about Wenner's new memoir, “Like A Rolling Stone.”

“If you were young, alone and in the far lands of New Jersey, Rolling Stone was a dispatch from the front, carrying news of a bigger world and another life awaiting,” said Springsteen in a statement.

In-person tickets are sold out, but online access is available for $60. Visit www.92ny.org for tickets or more information.

Speaking about the far lands of New Jersey, Max Weinberg's Jukebox, which plays songs the fans choose, will perform at the Little Steven Van Zandt and Teachrock.org’s Party at the Pony on Oct. 9 at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park. The event will include a Little Steven Garage Sale in addition to the show.

We have to ask: Does the Jukebox know how to play “Forever”? Email michael@teachrock.org for ticket and sponsorship info.

Weinberg's Jukebox hits venues in Florida, Texas and Wisconsin in the next two months. Visit www.maxweinberg.com for more info. The nights are full of fun, and Weinberg does everything at the shows except sing.

Also at the Pony, founding E Street Band members Garry Tallent and Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez, along with city local legends Nicky Addeo and Leon Trent, will join Doc Holiday and his Sony Nashville Studio A Team for a night that celebrates the Sound of Asbury Park on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Tallent, of course, is the bassist for the E Street Band, and Lopez was the first drummer who pops in with the band from time to time these days. Tickets for the Pony show are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and are available via stoneponyonline.com.

Up the coast, E Street sax player Jake Clemons — along with “Sopranos” actor Vincent Pastore, Chef David Burke, restaurateur Marilyn Schlossbach and the Junior League of Monmouth County — will be honored at the Monmouth Arts Council's “Golden Celebration” 50th anniversary gala on Friday, Sept. 23, in the Garden at the Blu Grotto in Oceanport.

Clemons, the nephew of the late Clarence Clemons, is cited by the council as a “magnet for positive energy and emotion, consistently sharing stories and thoughts about life, his beliefs and experiences through music."

Tickets for the gala start at $185, and further information, including sponsorship opportunities, can be found at monmoutharts.org/goldencelebration.

Springsteen and the E Street Band will play arenas in the U.S. and stadiums in Europe next year. A second North American tour leg will start in August 2023 after the stadium shows in Europe.
