Here's who's moving on to the general election after Tuesday's primary in Sheboygan County
SHEBOYGAN — Despite a reportedly slow day at Sheboygan polling places Tuesday, primary results are in as the county looks ahead to the general election in April.
With three candidates each, two of the City of Sheboygan Common Council positions were on the primary ballots. Roberta Filicky-Peneski and John Belanger won for the District 2 alderperson and Zachary Rust and Jesse Roethel won for District 8.
Both Filicky-Peneski and Rust are incumbents.
The field of six candidates for the School District of Howards Grove Board of Education was narrowed to four with Courtney Athorp, Brandon Suemnicht, Janina Siemers and Dave Loomis advancing.
Siemers and Loomis are both incumbents for the position, although Athorp and Suemnicht both received more votes.
Now, those eight winners will join the other candidates in the county on local ballots April 2.
Below are the unofficial results of Tuesday’s primary election and the candidates on ballots throughout Sheboygan County for the general election.
