Here's Why Navarro's Assistant Coach, Andy, Isn't In 'Cheer' Season 2

Netflix's hit docuseries Cheer hit the ground running (er, tumbling) for season 2 just a few weeks ago. But already, viewers are noticing a major absence in the Navarro practice sessions.

While Navarro Cheer head coach Monica Aldama returned from Dancing with the Stars to lead the team to victory in Daytona, Florida, many fans realized that assistant coach Andy Cosferent was mostly absent from the show. So, what happened?

Here's everything you need to know about Andy—including where he is now:

What was Andy's role as assistant coach?

Andy did appear briefly in season 2 at Monica's side, like always. This time last year, he was prepping the team for the championships:

And, his connection to Navarro Cheer runs deep. Before he was a coach, Andy was a cheerleader at Navarro. Then, Monica promoted him to assistant coach after he graduated.

Does Andy still coach at Navarro?

It seems like Andy has left Navarro, for now. According to his Instagram bio, Andy now owns Cheer Source, a cheerleading camp.

"It has been so hard not to talk about this, but here it is... I am so honored and excited to embark on this new project and venture! We are going to put in all the work and effort necessary in order to make this a ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE," Andy announced in an old post.

Andy is still a proud Navarro Cheer alum (he even has the show listed in his IG bio), but for now he's focusing on his own career. And, he's even taking his cheerleading talents on the road:

"Another amazing trip to France! Went to the beach, rolled in the sand and got to go to Paris with my best friend haha @binmybag Thank you @paris.cheer for having us once again! It was so fun to see everyone and to see all the teams!" he wrote. You love to see it!
