Many consider high insider ownership to be a strong sign of alignment between the leaders of a company and the ordinary shareholders. In fact, they own 73% of the company, so they will share in the same delights and challenges experienced by the ordinary shareholders. To me this is a good sign because it suggests they will be incentivised to build value for shareholders over the long term. And their holding is extremely valuable at the current share price, totalling CN¥50b. Now that's what I call some serious skin in the game!

One important encouraging feature of Shimao Property Holdings is that it is growing profits. Just as polish makes silverware pop, the high level of insider ownership enhances my enthusiasm for this growth. The combination sparks joy for me, so I'd consider keeping the company on a watchlist. Now, you could try to make up your mind on Shimao Property Holdings by focusing on just these factors, or you could also consider how its price-to-earnings ratio compares to other companies in its industry.
