Here's why two roads in Greenville, Blacksburg SC are among America's Most Haunted Roads

Greenville's Fleetwood Drive has been named by RV Trader as one of America's most haunted roads.

The blog states 2016's nationwide clown-sighting craze started on the road, where police received reports of clowns trying to lure children into the forest. A police report from the first sighting describes a “suspicious character ... dressed in circus clown attire and white face paint, enticing kids to follow him/her into the woods."

In the report, a woman said her son saw the clowns around 8:30 p.m. Another person said a clown waved at her from a nearby garbage dumpster and she waved back.

Children in the neighborhood near Old Augusta Road claimed several clowns have been seen in the woods, trying to persuade them to follow them with large amounts of cash.

Due to numerous complaints, the manager of Fleetwood Manor Apartments warned residents to call the police should there be any other strange sightings.

Soon after, the creepy clown sighting phenomenon spread across the country, with clowns watching, stalking and chasing pedestrians.

Fleetwood Drive isn't the only Upstate SC road on the RV Trader list.

Cherokee Falls Bridge, in Blacksburg, was also mentioned.

The RV Trader site stated:

"Just off Broad River, Cherokee Falls Bridge passes over Doolittle Creek and that’s where the legend of Booger Jim was born. According to the tale, a man known as Booger Jim went crazy and started attacking people. One victim fought back, pushing Booger Jim off the bridge where he was never seen again. If you stop on the bridge at night and call out 'Booger Jim' three times, you’ll hear his ghost moaning from the swirling waters below the bridge."
