If you’ve got $5,000 to spare, consider shelling it out on the world’s most expensive bowl of pho.

In 2011, the House of An restaurant group in California offered a premium bowl of the Vietnamese noodle soup for around $5,000 for a charity auction. Proceeds went to the Children's Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.

As word quickly spread about the expensive dish, Chef Helene An, who leads the restaurant group, decided to add the $5,000 pho to the menu of Crustacean, House of An’s Asian fusion restaurant in Beverly Hills. The sales of Crustacean’s special dish continue to be donated to charities, according to the restaurant.

House of An's $5,000 pho includes several premium ingredients.

In addition to costly A5 wagyu beef, the dish has hand-grown bean sprouts from Crustacean's garden and a broth consisting of poached foie gras.

As for the noodles, House of An takes its pho to another level by using a molecular gastronomy technique to create “noodles” from imported European blue lobster meat.

For the final touch, the bowl of pho is garnished with rare white Alba truffles.
