Herm Edwards now expected to return as Arizona State football coach?

Speculation has surrounded the future of Herm Edwards as Arizona State football coach for weeks, with much of it centered on him potentially resigning or being fired as the Sun Devils football coach.
The speculation has turned after Arizona State's 38-15 win over Arizona in the Territorial Cup on Saturday.
After the game, ASU senior defensive back Chase Lucas told reporters that Arizona State athletic director Ray Anderson said that Edwards would remain ASU's coach.

A report from Matt Zenitz of recruiting site On3.com said that sources had said: "The current expectation is that Arizona State will stick with Herm Edwards and that he’ll remain as the team’s head coach."

Edwards himself said on the Pac-12 Network pregame show for the Territorial Cup that "I'm the coach here. I'm coming back. I'm not going anywhere. I'm a Sun Devil."

He reiterated that stance with the media after ASU's win on Saturday.

ASU finished the regular season 8-4 and awaits a bowl invitation.
The Sun Devils went 6-3 in Pac-12 play and finished second in the Pac-12 South Division to Utah.
They went 4-1 in division games, their only loss to Utah.

ASU however, entered the season with very high expectations and was expected to compete for the Pac-12 title.
An investigation into recruiting allegations also hangs over the program.
Edwards is 25-17 in four seasons at ASU. His predecessor, Todd Graham, went 46-32 in six seasons with the Sun Devils.
