Hermès Just Unveiled Its San Francisco Boutique with a Lavish Soiree for 500

How does the saying go, when one door closes, another door opens? Well, in San Francisco this week, the same goes for stores. As shoppers pick through the remains of Barney's New York's store closing sale, only two blocks away Hermès just opened its newly expanded 9,000 square foot boutique, with a lavish party for 500 on Thursday night that featured performance art, dancing, a brass band, and a horse ballet (more on that later). "Tonight is really a celebration of our 32nd year to be in San Francisco, a city that we absolutely love," said Robert Chavez, U.S. President of Hermès.
