Hey, teachers! Krispy Kreme will give you free coffee and doughnuts starting Monday

Educators are facing unprecedented challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic and Krispy Kreme wants to say thank you as they prepare to tackle the new school year.

How? With free coffee and doughnuts.

Starting Monday, Aug. 10, teachers who show their school employer badge in a Krispy Kreme restaurant or drive-thru will get a free brewed coffee and glazed doughnut, the company said in a news release.

The offer runs through Friday, Aug. 14.

“Education is going to be very different this school year and more challenging and important than ever,” Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena said in the release. “From teachers and tutors to parents and coaches we want to thank everyone who is helping our kids to keep learning in these tough times no matter where the ‘classroom’ is.”

On Tuesday, the doughnut giant is also giving away a free “Straight A Dozen” to people who purchase a dozen doughnuts via pick-up, delivery or drive-thru.

The Straight A Dozen includes nine glazed doughnuts along with three cream-filled doughnuts dipped chocolate icing, covered in sprinkles and decorated with an A+.
