The Easter bunny visited fans of "Fixer to Fabulous" early this year, with HGTV announcing Thursday that the freshman series has been renewed for a second season.

The 13-episode run will once again document the lives of husband-and-wife team Dave and Jenny Marrs as they balance the work of restoring historic homes in their Arkansas neighborhood with family life. That's an added investment from HGTV, who ordered 10 episodes of the first season.

The Bentonville-based family has a lot in common with former HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines. Both couples live on farms in the south, restore homes in their home towns and have five kids. Both women handle the design side of the business, while both men oversee the construction side. Are you seeing the similarities now?

That formula was magic in a bottle for the Gaines, who left their hit show "Fixer Upper" in 2018 to start their own Magnolia TV network in partnership with Discovery. The new venture is set to premiere on Oct. 4, 2020 after the date was confirmed for the first time by Discovery President and CEO David Zaslav at the 2020 Winter Television Critics Association press tour.

Another famous HGTV couple, Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa, divorced while filming their popular show, "Flip or Flop." However, the pair continue to work together as business partners and TV co-hosts.

Both Christina and Tarek also have their own solo shows now. "Christina on the Coast" is currently in its second season, while the series debut of "Flipping 101" is set for March 5.
