Hibbing COVID-19 testing site to close, moving to Chisholm

Apr. 23—The COVID-19 community testing site at the Hibbing Armory is moving to the Chisholm Armory beginning Wednesday, the Minnesota Department of Health announced Thursday.

The Chisholm saliva testing site at 900 W. Lake St. will be open from noon-6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Hibbing site will be closed after Thursday, April 22.

Walk-ins are welcome at the Chisholm site, although appointments are encouraged and can be made through Vault Health at mncovidtestingappt.as.me/schedule.php.

Testing is free. People getting tested will be asked for their insurance information so the state can bill the insurance company on their behalf, but the state will cover the difference if a person is uninsured or the service isn't covered.
