For the Record: Gilmour has composed a strong season and has thrived in close games. The Lancers have played 11 games decided by two runs or fewer and have been victorious in all but one. The Lancers have been led by six players hitting over .300, including Jacob Lowery (.373) and Deaglan Bryant (.366). Lowery also leads the team in RBI with 16, followed by Zach Titas at 13. The mound has been strongly protected this season with Bryant (2.59 ERA) and Will Lazzaro (0.85). Many of those close games have been closed out by Jesse Shepherd, as he boasts an area-leading 5 saves. ... Revere held off a late rally by Hawken to advance to the district semifinal. The Minutemen are led by Devin Donich with a .425 batting average and 15 RBI and Andrew Froelich (.397, 16). Donich is just as dominant on the bump with four victories, and Ben Halvorson has 32 strikeouts. If they want to pull a second straight upset, they will need to take control early and see their pitching limit the Lancers' ability to start a run at any point in the game.
