High school baseball: Here are the Sac-Joaquin Section playoff pairings
The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section on Saturday afternoon released its 2023 baseball playoff brackets for Divisions I through VII.
First-round games for Divisions I through IV are Tuesday, May 9, while the Divisions V through VII postseason starts Wednesday, May 10. Each game has a 4 p.m. start.
Central California Athletic League champion Pitman High school is the only Stanislaus District team with a home game in the section’s top two divisions. In Divisions III through VII, five local teams host first-round matchups.
The first two rounds are single elimination, while the semifinals are a best-of-three series. On May 15, the higher seed hosts; May 17, the lower seed hosts; if necessary, the higher seed will host again May 18.
