High School Baseball Showcase returning to Day Air Ballpark

The Dayton Dragons will host the High School Baseball Showcase for the 18th consecutive season this year.

Starting March 31, 32 teams will compete in 16 regular season high school baseball games at Day Air Ballpark, according to a spokesperson for the Dragons. The showcase runs through May 13.

Admission will be open to the public and concessions stands will also be open during games.

Participating schools are able to provide their own PA announcers, cheer squads and national anthem singers.

“The showcase provides a fundraising opportunity for the high school programs, allowing them to sell Dragons tickets and raise money for their athletic departments,” a spokesperson said.

Here is the full schedule of games taking place:

  • March 31 at 6 p.m.: Bellefontaine vs Northwestern

  • April 1 at 6 p.m.: Springfield Shawnee vs Chaminade Julienne

  • April 19 at 6 p.m.: Tippecanoe vs Bethel

  • April 21 at 6 p.m.: Botkins vs Lima Perry

  • April 22 at 3 p.m.: Lincolnview vs Fort Recovery

  • April 22 at 6 p.m.: Bradford vs Milton Union

  • May 2 at 6 p.m.: TBD vs Fairlawn

  • May 3 at 6 p.m.: Northmont vs Springfield

  • May 5 at 6 p.m.: Franklin Monroe vs Arcanum

  • May 6 at 3 p.m.: Beavercreek vs Carroll

  • May 6 at 6 p.m.: Covington vs Twin Valley South

  • May 9 at 6 p.m.: Houston vs Lehman Catholic

  • May 10 at 6 p.m.: Wayne vs Lebanon

  • May 12 at 6 p.m.: National Trail vs Brookville

  • May 13 at 3 p.m.: Minster vs Oakwood

  • May 13 at 6 p.m.: Xenia vs Greenon
