High school boys’ basketball rewind: Hopewell’s Quay Watson makes history

↑Quay Watson, Hopewell: Watson scored 25 points in a 77-34 win over Garinger and became his school’s all-time leading scorer.

DJ Boyce, United Faith: He made seven 3-point shots and scored a game-high 23 points (matched by teammate JD Bowden) is a 70-64 win over Carmel Christian.

Jack Hudson, Corvian Community: He scored 25 points, 11 rebounds in a 78-62 win over Comenius.

Santana Lynch, Lake Norman: The Myers Park transfer’s debut for No. 6 Lake Norman went well. He had 15 points, 13 rebounds in a 63-48 win over Pine Lake Prep.

Braylen Todd, Gaston Day: He scored 27 points in a 68-65 win over SouthLake.

KJ Younger, Weddington: He had 31 points, 10 rebounds in a 81-60 win over Rocky River.
