High School Basketball | Minerva, Louisville boys post victories

PALMYRA TWP. — Brayden Costea scored a career- and game-high 32 points, making five 3-pointers, to lead Minerva past Southeast 60-52 in boys high school basketball on Tuesday night.

Brandon Davis added 14 points for the Lions (4-9), who sank 11 3-pointers.

Brandon Clint had 20 points for Southeast (7-8), while Aidan Fischer finished with 10.

Louisville 71, Canton South 37

LOUISVILLE — Will Aljancic made a school-record nine 3-pointers and scored a career-high 33 points as the host Leopards rolled over Canton South.

Louisville led 12-10 after one quarter, then outscored South 59-27 the rest of the way. Aljancic made eight of his 3-pointers in the second and third quarters and scored 26 of Louisville’s 40 points in that stretch.

Hayden Nigro scored 16 points for Louisville (10-3). Brady Noll led South (8-6) with 12 points.

Girls Basketball

PERRY TWP. — Meredith Randulic scored 19 points to lead four Perry players in double-figure scoring as the Panthers edged visiting Louisville, 60-54.

Izzy Centeno, MMia Guscoff and Macy Takacs all added 11 points for the Panthers (10-5). Courtney Barwick had 13 points for Louisville (10-4), while Kelsey Adelman added 12 and Taryn Miglich finished with 11.
