HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Mock hits six 3's, sets Rider record
NOCONA – Another record fell for the Rider Lady Raiders on Tuesday night.
Steffanie Mock drained six 3-pointers and led the Lady Raiders with 21 points in a 66-40 victory against Nocona. Mock set the program record for most 3-pointers made in a game, eclipsing the mark of five achieved by three Lady Raiders, including former teammate Jaelynn White last season. Taliyah Brooks (2011-12) and Lauren Haley (2009-10) also hit five in a game.
It’s the fourth Lady Raider record set in a span of five days. Jalynn Bristow, who scored 20 points against Nocona, reset her own single-game scoring (44) and rebounding (29) records Friday. Bristow became the Lady Raiders’ all-time leading scorer Saturday.
Addy Self scored 18 points in the Lady Raiders’ win Tuesday. Nocona was led by Stephany Guiterrez’s 14 points.
