1. Glenn (12-0)

Games this week: Jan. 18 at Culver (Bi-County Tournament)

Glenn, ranked No. 4 in 3A, extended its undefeated start to the season with an impressive 59-44 win at South Bend Saint Joseph last week. Four Falcons scored in double figures, led by Brycen Hannah's 16 points. The Falcons will be one of four South Bend-area teams to play in the TCU Bi-County Tournament this week, along with New Prairie, Bremen and LaVille.

2. Penn (10-1)

Games this week: Jan. 18 at Northridge, Jan 21 at Mish. Marian

Penn, ranked No. 8 in Class 4A, rebounded from its loss to Valparaiso to win both of its games last week, 71-59 over Warsaw and 62-36 over Jimtown, to get back on track. Markus Burton scored a team-high 34 points in the Kingsmen's win over the Jimmies, while Joe Smith chipped in 13.

3. NorthWood (13-1)

Games this week: Jan. 18 vs. SB Saint Joseph, Jan. 21 at Goshen

NorthWood, ranked No. 3 in Class 3A, extended its winning streak to five games with a narrow 49-48 win over Northridge last week. The Panthers have two big games this week against the Indians and Goshen, who is ranked No. 15 in 3A.

4. Mishawaka Marian (10-2)

Games this week: Jan. 18 at Culver Academy, Jan. 21 vs. Penn

Marian, ranked No. 5 in 3A, won its second game in a row with a dominant 71-39 victory over South Bend Clay last week. Dar'e'on Thornton scored a team-high 18 points in the win. This week begins a three-game stretch for the Knights against ranked teams. Culver Academy is No. 14 in 3A, and Marian's games against Penn on Jan. 21 and Glenn on Jan. 25 could decide the Northern Indiana Conference championship.

5. Goshen (9-2)

Games this week: Jan. 18 at Jimtown, Jan. 21 vs. NorthWood

The Redhawks, ranked No. 15 in 4A, saw their eight-game winning streak snapped after last week's 48-47 loss to Warsaw. Drew Hogan led Goshen in the loss with 15 points. It came at a bad time, too, with Goshen right in the thick of the Northern Lakes Conference title race and a big home game against NorthWood looming this week.

6. Warsaw (9-4)

Games this week: Jan. 21 at Concord, Jan. 22 vs. Valparaiso

Warsaw, unranked in 4A, won two of three games last week, beating Goshen 48-47 and Peru 51-40, after opening its slate with a 71-59 road loss at Penn. The Tigers enter this week tied at the top of the NLC with NorthWood, each holding a 3-0 record in league play.

7. Mishawaka (7-2)

Games this week: Jan. 18 at South Bend Clay, Jan. 22 at Northridge

The Cavemen have now won seven games in a row after last week's 57-54 win at Jimtown. They also had a game against Wawasee postponed due to COVID issues within Wawasee's team. That game has been rescheduled for Feb. 5 in Syracuse. The Cavemen sit firmly behind the NLC leaders at 2-0 with one league game this week at Northridge.

8. South Bend Washington (11-4)

Games this week: Jan. 20 at Jimtown, Jan. 28 vs. Mish. Marian.

The Panthers saw their four-game winning streak snapped with a 64-47 loss at Valparaiso last week. They also beat South Bend Adams, 73-70 in an overtime thriller. Terrence Reid scored a team-high 21 points in that win, while Tyler Davis added 20. The Panthers currently sit two games behind Glenn in the NIC at 4-2, and will have a huge league game this week against Marian.

9. South Bend Saint Joseph (6-5)

Games this week: Jan. 18 at NorthWood, Jan. 21 at Elkhart

The Indians have now lost three games in a row after dropping last week's home game against Glenn, 59-44. The road for the Indians doesn't get any easier with Tuesday's game at NorthWood.

10. South Bend Riley (8-6)

Games this week: Jan 20 at SB Clay

The Wildcats split a pair of games last week, falling 69-45 to Michigan City before rebounding with a tight 48-45 win against New Prairie. They will look to keep pace with the rest of the NIC field, sitting in the middle of the pack at 2-3, with this week's game against the Colonials, who have yet to win a league game this season.
