High School Football Preview Week 2

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Five high school teams from the Western Slope battle it out tomorrow, September 1st. The Central Warriors take on the Palisade Bulldogs in Stocker Stadium at 7 p.m. Fruita Monument travels down south to face the Montrose Red Hawks also at 7 p.m. Finally, the Delta Panthers host the Eagle Valley Devils in a 3A/2A matchup at 7 p.m.

Colorado Mesa Men’s Soccer traveled to Salt Lake City to face Texas A&M International in their first game of the season. CMU beat the Dust Devils 3-2.

The Colorado Buffaloes play on national television this Saturday, September 2nd on FOX. The Buffs travel to take on #17 TCU in the first game of Coach Deion Sanders tenure in Boulder.

In Fort Collins, Colorado State host Washington State in their debut game this Saturday at 5 p.m. After a 3-9 season last year, the Rams and Head Coach Jay Norvell hope for a brighter year.

Last but not least, CMU Football play Texas A&M Kingsville at Stocker Stadium at 1pm on Saturday. The Javelinas are a big team up front, but CMU Head Coach Miles Kochevar is looking forward to the challenge.
