Region 1

Davis 36, Farmington 35

The Davis Darts improved to 8-1 with a come from behind victory over the Farmington Phoenix in Week 9. Davis found itself down 14 points at halftime after Easton Wight completed 3 touchdown passes in the first 24 minutes of play. Davis stormed back in the second half and a crucial 1-yard touchdown run from Owen Talbot, along with a run for the 2-point conversion, secured the victory for the Darts.

Weber 52, Fremont 7

In a one-sided rivalry game, the Weber High School Warriors (5-4) trounced the Fremont Silverwolves, who slump to a 2-7 season record, with a crushing 52-7 victory on October 5. QB Crew Cacciacarne had a standout performance with four TD passes, including a 70-yard pass to Ian Elmore in the third quarter. Running back Nakosi Swain also had a strong performance with two touchdowns, one of which was an 11-yard run in the opening quarter. The Silverwolves avoided a shutout with a 37-yard pass from Slade Parker to Jace Hadley in the closing quarter, but it was too little too late.

Syracuse 45, Layton 0

The Syracuse Titans posted a commanding 45-0 shutout win over the Layton Lancers in Week 9 action. The Titans’ offense was on full display with quarterback Jake Hopkins connecting with Rhett Thompson for a 63-yard touchdown pass only 10:46 into the first quarter. Running backs Kobe Bennett and DJ Mayes each added short-yardage rushing touchdowns, contributing to the high-scoring game, as Syracuse led 31-0 at the half. Hopkins also found Shaun Blanton in the end zone shortly before halftime, and Bennett tacked on another touchdown in the third quarter to solidify the Titans’ victory.

Region 2

Herriman 42, Copper Hills 8

The Herriman Mustangs tallied a noteworthy 42-8 victory over the Copper Hills Grizzlies. The Mustangs set the tone early on, as quarterback Frederick Ta’ai launched a 10-yard pass to wide receiver Noah Malloy in the first quarter, followed swiftly by a 35-yard pass to Kaden Hansen.

Their dominance persisted, and by the half-time whistle, the gap was broadened by another couple of touchdowns. The impressive play did not swerve in the second half. Ta’ai continued to command the game with a 71-yard touchdown pass to Hansen in the third quarter. The fourth quarter maintained the Mustangs’ momentum. The quarterback widened the scoring gap with a 34-yard touchdown pass, again connecting with wide receiver Hansen. The Grizzlies had a flash of life late in the game with Kenny Banza’s impressive 82-yard run putting them on the scoreboard, but this surge proved insufficient against the robust Herriman squad.

Mountain Ridge 34, Riverton 9

The Riverton Silverwolves’ woes continue after suffering a 34-9 loss against the Mountain Ridge Sentinels. Mountain Ridge earned a 24-9 lead at half and shutout the Silverwolves in the second half, securing the victory. The Sentnels’ offense surged in the second and third quarters with a combined total of 27 points. The win gives the Mountain Ridge Sentinels an improved season record of 7-1, leaving the Riverton Silverwolves still in search of their first win with an 0-8 record.

Corner Canyon 38, Bingham 3

The Corner Canyon Chargers secured a dominant 38-3 victory over the Bingham Miners. The Chargers quickly built a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and held the Miners to just a field goal for the whole game. Corner Canyon’s Isaac Wilson ended the night with two touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown, while Bryton Brady notched two rushing touchdowns of his own. The Chargers improved to 9-1 on the season while Bingham fell to a 4-6 record.

Region 3

Pleasant Grove 34, Skyridge 31

Pleasant Grove scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime at No. 1 Skyridge, and then QB Carson Rasmussen hit Bronco Winterton on a game-winning touchdown pass in overtime as the Vikings stunned the defending state champs on their home field.

After Pleasant Grove went down 20-7 with 9:31 left in the third quarter, it outscored the Falcons 27-11 as Rasmussen threw four touchdown passes in the final 7:40 of the game and overtime. Rasmussen gave Pleasant Grove a 21-20 lead with 5:21 left in the game as he connected with Makai Peterson on a 10-yard TD pass, but Jackson Stevens engineered a go-ahead drive for Skyridge as he tossed a 28-yard TD pass to Trevan McClellan for the 28-21 lead with 1:52 left.

Rasmussen helped his team mark right back down field as he hit Tualau Wolfgramm on a 8-yard TD pass with 25 seconds left to send the game into OT. The Falcons went first in overtime, but was forced to settle for a field goal. PG struck quick for the victory.

American Fork 38, Westlake 7

The American Fork Cavemen secured a convincing 38-7 victory over the Westlake Thunder. The match witnessed the Cavemen establishing a lead early, scoring with a 20-yard pass from Dylan Story to Jacob Dean. Before halftime, the Cavemen outscored Westlake three more times with touchdowns by Josh Andrus, Jacob Eardley, and another Story to Dean connection.

The Cavemen didn’t slow down in the second half. They increased their lead with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Story to Jett Nelson in the third quarter, and a 30-yard field goal by James Barney in the fourth. Westlake finally got on the board late in the final quarter with a touchdown pass from Hyrum Ahquin to Mason Jenkins, but it was not enough to compete against the dominant Cavemen. This victory brings American Fork’s record to 8-1 for the season.

Lehi 34, Lone Peak 24

In a historic showdown, the Lehi Pioneers achieved their first-ever victory against Lone Peak in ten attempts, emerging triumphant with a final score of 34-24. Lehi took command from the start as Grayson Brousseau hauled in a 3-yard touchdown pass from Jett Niu in the opening quarter, accompanied by Gavin Fenn’s 29-yard field goal.

Although Lone Peak responded with a 44-yard field goal by Adam Connors in the second quarter, Lehi continued their dominance. Tyson Greenwood’s 19-yard touchdown run and Ozzie Williams’ blocked kick further solidified their lead. Lone Peak managed a comeback in the third quarter with two touchdowns - Seth Haskett caught a 13-yard pass from Jackson Blake, and Logan Hofheins added a 30-yard touchdown reception.

Nevertheless, Lehi remained in control during the fourth quarter. Kolose Latu’s 5-yard rushing touchdown and Gavin Fenn’s 33-yard field goal secured their historic win. Although Lone Peak found the endzone once more with Jackson Blake’s 1-yard run, it wasn’t enough to overcome Lehi’s determined performance.

Region 4

Kearns 29, West Jordan 7

After falling behind early, the Kearns Cougars rallied to defeat the West Jordan Jaguars 29-7 for their second successive region win. Kearns’ Kymani Fauatea led the way for the Cougars with three rushing touchdowns. Fauatea scored on 20 and 28-yard runs in the second quarter to give his team a 15-7 halftime lead after an early 7-0 deficit. He then added a one-yard run in the third quarter to help put the game out of reach. Marley Sio sealed Kearns’ victory with a 24-yard run in the fourth.

Hunter 42, Taylorsville 0

The Hunter Wolverines (5-3) dominated the Taylorsville Warriors (0-9) in Week 9 for the 42-0 victory. The shutout featured significant contributions from the Wolverines, starting with an early 2-yard run touchdown from Isaac Fonua at 8:55 in the first quarter, setting the pace for a high-scoring game. Quarterback Uluaki Taukiuvea tossed two touchdown passes — a 33-yarder to Jared Chase in the second quarter, and a 32-yarder to Lucas Heflin in the third. A key stand-out performance came in the third quarter when Pasi Havea darted 89 yards for a touchdown.

Granger 49, Cyprus 0

The Granger Lancers secured a dominant away victory against the Pirates, achieving a shutout win with seven touchdowns distributed among six different players. Carson Su’esu’e played a pivotal role by throwing four touchdowns, and the Granger offense added three more with rushing touchdowns. Notably, Landon Figueroa made a versatile contribution with both a receiving and rushing touchdown. With the performance, the Lancers improved their season record to 6-3.

Region 5

Roy 26, Bountiful 14

The Roy Royals clinched sole possession of first place in Region 5 with a crucial 26-14 win over the Bountiful RedHawks in Week 9. The Royals took an early lead with touchdowns from DaeQwan Snider and Dru Gardner in the first quarter. Bountiful fought back in the second quarter with a pair of Siaki Fekitoa TD runs cutting the deficit to 17-14 at the half. Roy’s defense held Bountiful scoreless in the second half though, and got an important insurance score with a Robert Young 4-yard TD run with 8:58 left in the game. The Royals will now have a chance to clinch the outright Region 5 title with a win over Northridge in Week 10.

Woods Cross 17, Box Elder 12

Box Elder’s red-hot start to the season has suddenly come to a screeching halt. A week after suffering its first loss of the season against Bountiful, Box Elder lost again in Week 9 falling to Woods Cross 17-12 in the Region 5 clash. Box Elder led 6-0 at the half, cut Woods Cross scored 17 straight points in the second half to stretch the lead to 17-6 but the Bees scored again to make it a 17-12 score with 4:09 remaining. Ben Smith-Mecham had a big 39-yard TD in the third quarter, and then Lock Smoot raced 73 yards for a critical TD in the fourth quarter.

Viewmont 28, Bonneville 21

Viewmont pulled off an upset against Bonneville in a tightly contested 28-21 victory, denying Bonneville a chance at a share of the Region 5 title next week. In the second half, Viewmont struck twice with a 14-point fourth quarter, erasing a 21-14 deficit. The game-winning touchdown was scored by Daren Tovey, who charged for a 12-yard run with 1:29 left in the fourth quarter. Tovey was also instrumental in two TD passes earlier in the game. Overall, this was a higher-scoring game driven by key performances from Tovey and Bonneville’s Isaac Mansaray, who contributed to all three of Bonneville’s touchdowns.

Region 6

Alta 43, Skyline 0

The Alta Hawks soared to a dominant 43-0 victory over the struggling Skyline Eagles, earning their 6th win of the season. The Hawks wasted no time establishing their dominance, with Abe Jager catching a 24-yard touchdown pass from Kepa Niumeitolu in the opening moments of the game. Alta continued to pile on the points in the first quarter, with Anthony Cottis adding a 7-yard rushing touchdown.

The second quarter saw no respite for the Eagles, as the Hawks extended their lead with Thiago Moreira’s 24-yard field goal and a 25-yard touchdown pass from Niumeitolu to Matt McKea. Bryant Weber added to the scoring frenzy with a 20-yard rushing touchdown. The Hawks maintained their grip on the game in the third quarter, with Wyatt Johnson catching a 21-yard touchdown pass from Niumeitolu. In the final quarter, Siosaia Leni Lapuaho powered in a 4-yard rushing touchdown, sealing Alta’s commanding 43-0 victory.

Olympus 37, Highland 7

In a one-sided Thursday night affair, the Olympus Titans readily defeated the Highland Rams 37-7. A dominant first quarter helped propel the Titans to victory as it jumped out to an early 24-0 lead on senior night. The scoring was opened by Asher Gubler’s 35-yard FG, followed by a punt return by Tate Ames, alongside two touchdown passes by QB Chase Moseley to Ty Seagle and Luke Bryant, ending the period at 24-0.

Olympus maintained the pressure into the second quarter, with two TDs from Nic Jacob Brown, pushing the score to 37-0. The Rams managed to register a consolation touchdown only in the last quarter, a pass from Manasa Pela to Kj Williams. The Titans’ strong offensive showing effectively ended the Rams’ hopes of a comeback, certifying their fifth win of the season.

West 33, East 16

Showing resilience in the 113th meeting between East and West, the West Panthers rallied by scoring the final 18 points of the game to claim a 33-16 win over the Leopards. Kelvin Malepeai was instrumental in securing the victory for the 5-3 Panthers, scoring three times with runs of 1, 2 and 5 yards, his last touchdown coming in at 9:13 in the fourth quarter. East’s points came in part from a 70-yard kick return by Nasio Otukolo and a 30-yard pass from Dameon Crosby to Timmy Thao in first and third quarter respectively. Despite these efforts, the 3-5 Leopards could not halt the late surge by the Panthers in this nail-biting first encounter since 2012.

Region 7

Springville 28, Orem 21

In a well-fought game, Springville Red Devils eked out a 28-21 victory over the visiting Orem Tigers. The Springville Red Devils (7-2) took an early lead with two touchdowns by Tevita Valeti in the first quarter. However, the Orem Tigers (3-6) rallied back, tying the game 21-21 in the fourth quarter after Feleti Iongi’s 12-yard run. The balance tipped in favor of the Red Devils when Tevita Valeti burst through for a decisive 3-yard touchdown run with just 2:40 remaining. Valeti was a standout, scoring three touchdowns.

Wasatch 35, Cedar Valley 21

The Wasatch Wasps (3-6) wrapped up the regular season with a 35-21 home victory over Cedar Valley (2-7) in Week 9. Wasatch has a bye in Week 10 as it will prepare for the playoffs. Mack Kelson tossed three touchdown passes in the win, including a pair to Jojo Hyer in the second half as Wasatch pulled away for the win. Kelson also added a rushing TD in the first half. Chevas Gregory led Cedar Valley in the loss with a pair of rushing TDs, including a 78-yarder in the second quarter.

Timpview 42, Maple Mountain 20

Timpview Thunderbirds captured the Region 7 title after defeating Maple Mountain Golden Eagles 42-20 at Maple Mountain in Week 9. After a high-scoring first half, Timpview shut things down defensively to wrap up Region 7 play with a perfect 5-0 record an a 7-2 overall record. It has a bye in Week 10. Helaman Casuga tossed three touchdown passes in the win, while Aisa Galea’i rushed for two TDs. Galea’i scored on a five-yard TD run just 45 seconds into the second half which stretched the T-Birds lead to 35-20 and spoiled any hopes of a Maple Mountain upset.

Region 8

Timpanogos 35, Salem Hills 14

The Timpanogos Timberwolves (7-2) scored early and often on the way to a convincing 35-14 triumph over the Salem Hills Skyhawks (6-3) during this week’s Region 8 game. In their pursuit of a potential first-round bye in the 4A playoffs, the Timberwolves set the tone early and often building a 35-0 lead before the Skyhawks tacked on two late fourth quarter scores.

Luke Livingston’s touchdown reception from Chase Riggs gave Timpanogos the early 7-0 lead, and it was more of the same the rest of the game. Riggs, who scored two touchdowns in total, and Livingston, with three touchdowns in his name, were the noticeable performers for Timpanogos.

Payson 24, Spanish Fork 21

Cooper Swasey’s third touchdown reception, a 65-yard pass from Trevyn Wall with just 1:52 left in the fourth quarter, sealed a 24-21 victory for the Payson Lions over the Spanish Fork Dons in Week 9. Swasey finished the game with with three receiving touchdowns. Payson went ahead 17-7 late in the third quarter on Swasey’s second TD reception of the game, but Spanish Fork scored back-to-back touchdowns in a two-minute span early in the fourth quarter to take the lead. Ryan Olsen hauled in a 40-yard pass from Spencer Tupou to make it 17-14, and then Will Gunther returned an interception 25 yards for the temporary go-ahead scored.

Provo 42, Uintah 8

In a noticeably one-sided game, Provo secured at least a share of the Region 8 title with a 42-8 victory over Uintah in Week 9. Quarterback Soakai Aston threw two touchdown passes and also ran for a 4-yard score all in the first quarter as Provo built a 28-0 halftime lead. Provo’s Kyle Larsen opened the scoring midway through the first quarter with an 86-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown and added another from a 38-yard pass thrown by Aston, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Provo will try and win the Region 8 title outright next week against Mountain View.

Region 9

Desert Hills 56, Hurricane 18

In an emphatic Week 9 victory, the Desert Hills Thunder took down the Hurricane Tigers with a final score of 56-18. The Thunder started strong with Gerritt Grondel’s 39-yard touchdown run within the opening minutes of the game. Grondel would go on to score three more rushing touchdowns, producing over 130 yards on the scores, leading his team to victory. Quarterback Beau Wall also contributed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Austin Wintle. The Tigers found their stride late in the game, with touchdowns from Ethan Staples, Gage Huntsman, and LJ Langston, but were unable to overcome the Thunder’s early lead.

Snow Canyon 14, Dixie 10

The Snow Canyon Warriors rallied to edge past the Dixie Flyers, 14-10. The deciding score came in the third quarter when the Warriors’ quarterback, Talan Kelly, found receiver JT Westbrook for a 27-yard touchdown, their second scoring connection of the evening. The Flyers took the lead early with a 31-yard field goal by Jonathan Bibiano Vargas and again with Anatomy Academy14-yard touchdown pass from Wyatt Truman to Jaxon Barben, but failed to score in the second half.

Crimson Cliffs 63, Pine View 9

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs claimed sole possession of first-place in Region 9 with an overpowering 63-9 victory over the Pine View Panthers during Week 9. The Mustangs’ quarterback, Steele Barben, displayed an impressive performance by throwing five touchdown passes, two to Boston Adamson and three to Tyler West. Meanwhile, Mustangs’ running backs, McCord Christiansen and Bryce Strickland, added to the offensive onslaught with touchdowns on the ground. Despite late efforts from Pine View, highlighted by Mohe Tonga’s 18-yard touchdown run in the last quarter, the Panthers couldn’t narrow the gap. With the win, Crimson Cliffs sets up a crucial Week 10 matchup against Dixie that will decide the Region 9 title.

Region 10

Park City 52, Tooele 21

The Park City Miners remained undefeated and took control of first place in Region 10 with a decisive 52-21 victory over the Tooele Buffaloes. The Miners took control early on, led by Sebastian Bodily who caught two touchdown passes as part of a 21 point first quarter. Miners’ Elijah Warner added two rushing touchdowns and a 20-yard catching touchdown to the tally. Tooele made a late push, but it was unable to overcome the large lead built by Park City.

Cottonwood 37, Hillcrest 7

In a Week 9 clash, the Cottonwood Colts dominated the Hillcrest Huskies with a final score of 37-7. The Colts charged ahead early with a 21-yard touchdown run by Ryan Nielson in the first quarter. Hillcrest responded in the second quarter with Steven Hoskins connecting with Tayden Black for a 42-yard touchdown pass. However, Cottonwood seized control with Sunia Fifita’s 26-yard run and Nielson’s 8-yard touchdown catch. Nielson continued his stellar performance in the fourth quarter with a 3-yard rushing touchdown, sealing the Colts’ first victory of the season.

Stansbury 47, Murray 0

In a Week 9 showdown, the Stansbury Stallions dominated the Murray Spartans with a resounding 47-0 victory. Stansbury took control early, with Alex Geovjian leading the charge with four rushing touchdowns, three coming in the second quarter alone. Quarterback Coleman Dearden also contributed with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Bracken Mathews.

The Stallions continued to assert their dominance in the second half, with Dearden showcasing his versatility with a 29-yard rushing touchdown. The Stansbury defense sealed the shutout with a highlight play as Max Olson returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Region 11

Sky View 27, Mountain Crest 14

The Sky View Bobcats claimed first place in Region 11 after defeating the Mountain Crest Mustangs 27-14 in Week 9. Bobcats’ Brevin Egbert kick-started the scoring with an early 8-yard run. The Bobcats found themselves trailing for one of the first times this season following Mountain Crest touchdowns from Will DeKorver and Dax Benson, but Sky View kept things close with two field goals from Calebe de Quadros. The decisive moment was delivered in the fourth quarter as Bryton Williams caught a 13-yard pass from Carson Thatcher and Seth Toolson made a game-clinching 20-yard interception return.

Ridgeline 42, Bear River 28

The Ridgeline Riverhawks secured a decisive 42-28 victory over the Bear River Bears in Week 9 high school football action. The game’s momentum was initially dictated by Charlie Booth of the Riverhawks with a 24-yard blocked kick returned for a score. Despite efforts from Bears’ quarterback Owen Olsen, who scored four total touchdowns, the Riverhawks’ offense was resilient. Ridgeline’s Nate Dahle threw for three touchdowns, including two late connections with Graham Livingston to fortify the Riverhawks’ lead.

Green Canyon 39, Logan 15

The Green Canyon Wolves took down the Logan Grizzlies 39-15 in a Week 9 high school football match-up. Wolves’ Payton Wilson contributed heavily to the victory, beginning with an opening touchdown on a 4-yard run and subsequently throwing for four touchdowns, with Dewey Egan being the receiver on three of them. The Grizzlies fought back with scores from Jase Pingree and Jalen Argyle, both caught from passes by Keaton Pond, but couldn’t overcome the early deficit put on by the Wolves. Logan now moves to a 2-7 record while Green Canyon improved to 6-3.

3A North

Grantsville 12, Union 10

The Grantsville Cowboys went on the road and defeated Union behind a dominant performance by the special teams. Joe Wright scored all 12 points for the Cowboys, kicking four field goals including the game-winner from 42-yards out with under two minutes remaining. The lone touchdown came when Gannon Labrum and Rylind Wood connected with roughly five minutes to go, the ensuing extra-point gave the Cougars their temporary lead. Union also had a chance to win the game late, but another Grantsville special teams play saw them block a field goal attempt in the final seconds.

Ben Lomond 34, Juan Diego 18

The Ben Lomond Scots emerged victorious over the Juan Diego Soaring Eagle with a final score of 34-18 in a 3A North battle. The Scots wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, with Manase Tuatagaloa running for a 2-yard touchdown late in the first quarter. Juan Diego responded with a touchdown early in the second quarter, but Ben Lomond continued to pile on the points with a 50-yard field goal by Omar Murillo and two touchdown passes from Tuatagaloa to Davian Munoz.

While Juan Diego managed to score again in the third quarter, the Scots maintained their lead with a 12-yard touchdown pass from Tuatagaloa to Jaxon Watson. In the fourth quarter, Ben Lomond’s defense came up big with Hayden Burdette recovering a fumble for a 16-yard touchdown. Although Juan Diego found the endzone once more, it wasn’t enough to catch up to the Scots. This win improved Ben Lomond’s record to 5-4 for the season.

Morgan 37, Ogden 14

The Morgan Trojans showcased their offensive prowess, defeating the Ogden Tigers with a commanding 37-14 score. Beck Sheffield opened the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown pass to Derrick Tilby, setting the tone for the Trojans’ dominant performance. This early lead was built upon as Sheffield and Zak Sargent contributed more touchdowns, while Ogden managed to find the endzone once in the second quarter. However, the Trojans’ lead proved insurmountable as they continued to control the game. Beau Johnson’s impressive field goals, including a 55-yarder, showcased Morgan’s all-around excellence. The Trojans secured a convincing victory, improving their season record to 6-3 and leaving a lasting impression with their offensive prowess on full display.

3A South

Juab 49, Carbon 7

The Juab Wasps roundly defeated the Carbon Dinos 49-7. Juab set the pace right from the first quarter, with Ryan Robinson scoring a 20-yard touchdown run that subtly hinted at the domination to come. Juab’s offense was prolific, with quarterback Austin Park throwing for 2 touchdowns, including a 62-yard deep connection to Jaden Heap in the second quarter. Carbon’s single touchdown came late in the game - a 5-yard run by Stockton Kennedy in the fourth quarter - but it made little difference against the Wasps’ substantial lead. The game was a clear display of Juab’s offensive dominance and Carbon’s struggle to keep pace.

Manti 49, North Sanpete 3

The Manti Templars recorded a decisive 49-3 victory over North Sanpete Hawks, with Templars’ Maison Starkweather in a starring role. Starkweather was impeccable, throwing seven touchdowns throughout the game. Early on, Reggie Frischknecht set the tone with a 33-yard touchdown from Starkweather in the first quarter. Starkweather later found Hunter Stevens multiple times for significant yardage, with Stevens scoring on four occasions, the longest a 70-yard touchdown in the first quarter. In the third quarter, the Hawks avoided a shutout as Rafael Contretas nailed a 32-yard field goal, but the blowout continued until the end, with the Templars dominating on both sides of the ball.

Richfield 28, Canyon View 14

The Richfield Wildcats maintained their undefeated streak, securing a hard-fought 28-14 victory against the Canyon View Falcons in a 3A South battle. The game kicked off with Richfield’s Cort Moon blocking a kick and Tyson Raiser converting it into a 30-yard touchdown. Kai Thomas added to Richfield’s lead with a spectacular 66-yard touchdown reception from Reggie Hafen.

However, Canyon View quickly responded as Lincoln Rushton broke free for an 80-yard rushing touchdown in the waning moments of the first quarter. The second quarter saw Canyon View finding the endzone again, this time with Asher Slack catching a 1-yard pass from Jaxon Jensen. The third quarter was marked by Richfield’s Beck Giblette rushing for a 2-yard touchdown. In the final quarter, Reggie Hafen added a 2-yard rushing touchdown to seal Richfield’s victory and maintain their undefeated record.

2A North

Summit Academy 43, Providence Hall 7

The Summit Academy Bears earned a dominant 43-7 victory over the Providence Hall Patriots. Summit Academy held the Patriots to a first-quarter touchdown. The Bears ran away with it in the third quarter after scoring 21 points for a 43-7 lead. Summit Academy’s Bronson Dixon had three rushing touchdowns in the win. The victory advances Summit Academy’s record to 7-3, while the Patriots drop to 6-4.

Layton Christian 48, American Leadership 0

The Layton Christian Eagles triumphed over the American Leadership Eagles in a 48-0 shutout in week 9. The game was heavily influenced by Marcus Miles, who passed for three touchdowns and scored one himself. Layton Christian’s defense dominated the Eagles and earned its first shutout of the season. Layton Christian evened up its season record at 4-4 after the win.

South Summit 44, Judge Memorial 12

The South Summit Wildcats first half offense was enough to walk away with a 44-12 win over the Judge Memorial Bulldogs on Friday. South Summit’s Trey Stembridge led the way with four touchdowns. Although the Bulldogs were able to score twice in the third quarter, it wasn’t enough to get back in the game. The win improves the Wildcats’ record to 7-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs drop to 1-7.

2A South

Emery 55, Grand 14

The Emery Spartans offense dominated on Friday with a resounding 55-14 victory over the Grand Red Devils. Emery’s Wade Stilson contributed with three touchdown passes. Emery built a 48-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Despite a series of late touchdowns by the Grand Red Devils, the gap proved too wide to bridge. The win gives Emery Spartans a 5-3 record on the season, while the Grand Red Devils fall to 1-8.

San Juan 69, Delta 13

The San Juan Broncos kept up their dominance with an emphatic 69-13 win over the Delta Rabbits on Friday, continuing their streak of scoring no less than 40 points in a game this season. San Juan saw success in its rushing game, with six rushing touchdowns in the win. This win furthers the Broncos’ perfect season, taking them to a 9-0 record, while Delta falls to 5-4.

1A North

Millard 21, North Summit 7

The Millard Eagles improved to 4-5 with a 21-7 victory over the North Summit Braves. Millard solidified a lead with 21 points scored through the first three quarters. North Summit, trailing the entire game, was able to get on the scoreboard late in the third quarter but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit. Eagle’s Kaden Turner had two touchdowns in the win.

Gunnison Valley 24, North Sevier 0

The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs solidified a 24-0 victory over the North Sevier Wolves. It was a dominant performance by the Bulldogs, in which Tyson Tucker accounted for a field goal and two touchdown passes. The Gunnison Valley defense shined and earned its first shutout of the season. The Bulldogs improve to 5-3 while North Sevier’s struggles continue as it falls to 1-8.

1A South

Enterprise 41, Parowan 13

The Enterprise Wolves maintained their unbeaten record with a 41-13 victory over the Parowan Rams. The Wolves showcased a strong rushing game with Jaden Drake scoring three touchdowns, Kyron Bracken with two, and Brayden Gardner with one. Enterprise built a 41-6 lead at half which was more than enough to put Parowan away. The Wolves upheld their undefeated status with a 9-0 record, while the Rams remain in search of their first victory of the season.

Beaver 46, Milford 7

The Beaver Beavers extended their season record to 9-1 with a decisive 46-7 week 9 victory over the Milford Tigers. Beaver had consistent offense throughout the game, earning it a strong 39-7 lead at the end of the third quarter. The Beavers’ defense made sure Milford never made a comeback, securing the victory. Beaver’s Tavyn Hollinghsead had two rushing touchdowns and Baylor Blackburn had two receiving touchdowns in the win.

Nonregion

Brighton 45, Queen Creek, Ariz. 21

In a Week 9 clash, the Brighton Bengals showcased their dominance against out-of-state foe Queen Creek, Arizona, sealing a convincing 45-21 victory. Brighton’s Kaden Morzelewski orchestrated the offense with precision, connecting with Noah Matheson for a 16-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Morzelewski later contributed a rushing touchdown and a 33-yard pass to Donovan Wismer before halftime.

The Bengals maintained control, with additional touchdowns from Case Beames and Easton Smith. Queen Creek, Arizona, mounted a late comeback with two touchdowns, including a notable 62-yard run, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Brighton’s commanding performance.

Cokeville, Wyo. 14, Rich 0

The visiting Cokeville, Wyoming team shut out the Rich Rebels 14-0 in Week 9. Cokeville set the tone early in the first quarter, scoring on a 4-yard run. Despite the Rebels’ efforts, they couldn’t break through Cokeville’s tough defense. The game was put out of Rich’s reach when Cokeville returned an interception 39 yards for a touchdown in the final quarter.

Mountain View 55, Jordan 37

The Mountain View Bruins defeated the Jordan Beetdiggers 55-37 in a high scoring Week 9 high school football game. Kalvin Floyd started it for the Bruins with a 27-yard interception return in the first quarter. Floyd found the end zone two more times with touchdown receptions from Hunter Hopoate. Dexton Havea also made a significant contribution, rushing for four touchdowns for Mountain View. Despite the loss, Jordan’s Jakarin Owens threw for four touchdowns, including an 85-yard pass to Jake Miller.

Monticello 48, Whitehorse 12

The Monticello Buckaroos secured an assertive 48-12 victory over the Whitehorse Raiders. The Buckaroos hit the ground running in the first quarter with four touchdowns, initiating with a 2-yard run by Tavon Black. JD McDonald was instrumental in Monticello’s win, throwing two touchdowns, and receiving two more from Jackson Keyes. Despite an eventual scoring rally by the Raiders in the fourth quarter, Monticello was able to maintain the lead and improve to 4-4 on the season.

Duchesne 20, Kanab 6

The Duchesne Eagles notched a 20-6 victory over the Kanab Cowboys. The Eagles broke a 6-6 tie in the second quarter as Parker Crum threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Dallin Porter. Crum went on to rush for another touchdown in the final quarter, securing the 20-6 scoreline and the win for Duchesne. Kanab opened the scoring, but it was unable to find the end zone again due to the stout Duchesne defense.
