Final scores: Week 5 games in Lake and Sumter counties

While we might be only three days into the official "fall" season, the high school football season has been in full swing for four weeks.

Now, as we enter Week 5, we draw to the midway point of the regular season.

Week 5 kicked off in the Lake and Sumter county area with a one-point game between Mount Dora (2-2) and South Lake (0-5) on Thursday night. Mount Dora won the non-conference game, 48-47. Mount Dora delivered the first win under head coach Luke Hutchinson in Week 3 against Leesburg.
