High school football: See the candidates and cast your vote for Week 3 Player of the Week

There are 14 candidates who were named finalists for lohud's Week 3 High School Football Player of the Week. The candidates are based on the players' performances from games played Sept. 23-24.

The athletes were chosen based on production, whom that production came against and how much of an impact it had on the outcome.

Please consider the credentials of each finalist and cast your vote on lohud.com for the one you find most worthy.

Mamaroneck senior Jack Ramsay, who is a candidate again this week, was named our Week 2 Player of the Week after earning 28.6% of the votes cast.

This week's poll will remain open until 2 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will be announced later that night on our Twitter and Instagram accounts at @lohudsports and @lohudinsider.

Colby Baldwin, Scarsdale

The senior quarterback threw the winning touchdown with eight seconds left and had 23 carries for 198 yards and a touchdown on the ground in a 27-21 upset of Arlington. Baldwin also completed a two-point conversion pass and had nine tackles on defense.

Brendan Donahue, Pearl River

Donahue led Pearl River to its first win, a 39-14 victory over Hen Hud. He scored four touchdowns, two on receptions and two on defense. Donahue caught three passes for 89 yards, returned a fumble 36 yards for a touchdown and an interception 38 yards for a score.

The senior broke the single-game program record with six touchdown passes in a 56-39 win over Sleepy Hollow. He finished 15 of 20 for 301 yards.

Brandon Holman, Dobbs Ferry

The senior had 272 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns in Dobbs' 54-18 defeat of Blind Brook. The highlight was an 81-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Niko Marinelli, Harrison

The third-string quarterback (a starting halfback) was pressed into duty due to injuries and ran for 129 yards and a touchdown and threw a TD pass in Harrison's 24-6 win over Yorktown.

Kyle McKenny, Greeley

McKenny rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns to help Greeley roll past Spring Valley, 49-21.

James Moran, Nanuet

The senior had 33 carries for 200 yards and scored the only touchdown in Nanuet's 6-0 victory over Ardsley.

Daniel Picart, Pleasantville

The junior had 31 carries for 212 yards and two touchdowns, including the winner in overtime as Pleasantville beat Bronxville 21-14. PIcart also had two catches for 38 yards.

The senior had eight carries for 195 yards and three touchdowns and had two sacks, five tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries in a 42-14 win over White Plains.

Callum Reen, Pelham

The senior threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns and scored three rushing touchdowns in Pelham's 40-34 overtime win over Mahopac. Before Reen capped the win with a QB sneak at the goal line, he had an interception on defense.

Luke Savino, Somers

The senior had 19 carries for 119 yards and a touchdown in Somers' 35-27 win over Saint Frances Academy B. He also went 5 for 5 on extra points and kicked five touchbacks.

Kori Small, Stepinac

The senior returned both a fumble and an interception for touchdowns and had 13 tackles in Stepinac's 34-3 win at Chaminade.

Zavion Vassel, Mount Vernon

The senior ran for the first touchdown ever at the new Memorial Field in Mount Vernon's 32-24 victory over the Yonkers Force. He finished with 112 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and had a sack on defense in the victory.

Luke Weiler, Byram Hills

In his first start at running back, the sophomore ran for a team-high 74 yards but he also had five tackles, and kicked two field goals and five touchbacks in a 20-10 win over Briarcliff/Hamilton.
