High school football: See the candidates and cast your vote for Week 2 Player of the Week

There are 14 candidates who were named finalists for lohud's Week 2 High School Football Player of the Week. The candidates are based on the players' performances from games played Sept. 16-17.

The athletes were chosen based on production, whom that production came against and how much of an impact it had on the outcome.

Please consider the credentials of each finalist and cast your vote on lohud.com for the one you find most worthy.

Pleasantville junior Daniel Picart won the Week 1 Player of the Week after he received 29.76% of the 52,139 votes cast.

This week's poll will remain open until 2 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will be announced later that night on our Twitter and Instagram accounts at @lohudsports and @lohudinsider.

Michael Annunziata, Tuckahoe

The senior led the Tigers over defending Section 1 Class C champ Dobbs Ferry 33-6 by going 16 of 23 for 233 yards and two touchdowns. He added 35 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Travis Carlucci, Panas

Carlucci went 6 of 7 for 77 yards and a touchdown and had six carries for 125 yards and a score in Panas' 42-8 win over Poughkeepsie. Carlucci also returned a punt for a touchdown.

Marco Citro, Harrison

Citro had 13 carries for 103 yards and went 10 of 14 for 108 yards and a touchdown in Harrison's 44-20 victory over Brewster.

Reyden Davis, New Rochelle

Davis ran 11 times for 262 yards and four touchdowns in New Rochelle's 49-8 victory over the Yonkers Brave.

Gjok Dedvukaj, Stepinac

The senior caught eight passes for 129 yards. That included the go-ahead touchdown as Stepinac beat DePaul Catholic (N.J.) 24-3 in the Battle of the Bridge at Rutgers University.

Don Dorcelly, Suffern

The senior ran for 180 yards and two touchdowns as Suffern, playing on just three days' rest, beat White Plains 35-14.

Matt Fitzsimons, Somers

The senior went 11 of 14 for 173 yards and a touchdown and ran for two scores in Somers' 41-7 victory at Eastchester.

Risaun Griffin, Ramapo

He had 17 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another 118 yards and a score as Ramapo beat Spring Valley for the first time in nine years, winning 20-14.

Teddy Johnson and Timmy Meyer, Pelham

The duo combined for 455 yards of offense and six touchdowns in Pelham's 51-16 victory over Sleepy Hollow. Johnson ran for 253 yards while Meyer caught two passes for 134 yards and ran for another 69.

In a rematch of last year's Class B championship, the junior had 22 carries for 164 yards and caught three passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in the 21-9 victory.

Jack Ramsay, Mamaroneck

The senior linebacker had a hand in 22 tackles, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and had 2 1/2 sacks to lead Mamaroneck to a 35-21 victory over John Jay-East Fishkill.

Ajani Sheppard, Iona Prep

The senior ran for a 34-yard touchdown with 1:08 remaining to give the Gaels a 42-35 win at Don Bosco Prep. It was one of Sheppard's two fourth-quarter touchdown runs. He finished with 14 carries for 139 yards and went 11 of 25 for another 136 yards passing.

Max Travis, Fox Lane

The junior had 16 carries for 231 yards and two touchdowns and also caught a 62-yard touchdown pass in Fox Lane's 21-14 win at Nyack.

Austin Zaccagnino, John Jay

The senior caught seven passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns and also made seven tackles in John Jay's 26-7 defeat of visiting Clarsktown North.
