High school football top performers for Week 4 in Acadiana

Here are the top performers in Acadiana from Week 4 of the high school football season:

Russell Babineaux, Acadiana: Babineaux was the beneficiary of Rams quarterback Caden DiBetta's throws, hauling in three passes for 135 yards with two going for touchdowns in Acadiana's 55-6 route of Lafayette Thursday nigh.

Caden DiBetta, Acadiana: DiBetta wasn't called on to pass much, but he connected on a few big plays when he did, passing for 215 yards and three touchdowns on 4-of-7 for the Rams.

Keven Williams, Acadiana: Another week, another 100-yard game for Williams, who carried the ball nine times for 104 yards with a TD against Lafayette.

Cashmere Batiste, Carencro: Batiste was just one of a few Bears that have a great night in Carencro's 43-0 shellacking of Sulphur as he piled up 155 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns.

Chantz Caeset, Carencro: Caeser passed for 161 yards, rushed for 87 yards and scored four total yards in Carencro's victory.

Caden Campisi, Kaplan: Campisi rushed a whopping 34 times for 170 yards a touchdown in Kaplan's 34-14 win over Rayne.

Evan Simon, Loreauville: Simon accounted for the majority of Loreauville's total yards, rushing 21 times for 214 yards in the Tigers' 35-21 loss to North Vermilion Thursday night.

Tucker Denais, North Vermilion: Denais' three touchdowns proved to be the difference for the Patriots in their win over Loreauville as he ended with 18 rushes for 116 yards.

Jake Brouillette, Notre Dame: Brouillette did all he could for the Pioneers against Teurlings Catholic, amassing 190 all-purpose yards including 129 rushing yards with a touchdown on 27 carries, but Notre Dame fell short, 38-14.

Preston Welch, Teurlings Catholic: Rebels junior QB was nearly perfect in his team's win over old rival Notre Dame, going 9-for-11 for 209 yards with a touchdown.

Jonathan Dartez, Vermilion Catholic: Vermilion Catholic's dual-threat QB put up 221 total yards offense with a touchdown to help his team improve to 4-0 on the season with a 34-0 shutout win over Erath.
