High school football: Vote now in our poll for lohud's Week 9 Player of the Week

These are the candidates who were named finalists for lohud's Week 9 High School Football Player of the Week. The candidates are based on the players' performances from games played Nov. 4-5.

The athletes were chosen based on production, how much of an impact it had on the outcome, and competition. Because of the importance of playoff games, top performances in those contests were more strongly considered.

Please consider the credentials of each finalist and cast your vote on lohud.com for the one you find most worthy.

Mamaroneck quarterback Jason Cox was last week's winner, earning 26.1% of the votes cast.

This week's poll will remain open until 2 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will be announced later that night on our Twitter and Instagram accounts at @lohudsports and @lohudinsider.

Travis Carlucci, Panas

The junior quarterback scored four times and threw a touchdown to lead the Panthers over Spring Valley 56-28 in the Hudson River Football League championship game. He had 13 carries for 178 yards and went 3 of 5 for 52 yards through the air.

Ryan Cole, Somers

The junior lineman led Somers with a game-high 10 tackles and recorded four sacks in a 39-7 victory over Harrison in the Class A semifinals.

Cole Denson, RCDS

The junior complied 266 yards of offense in Rye Country Day's 37-27 victory over Long Island Lutheran in the semifinals of the Metropolitan Independent Football League playoffs. Denson went over 100 yards rushing and receiving, caught a touchdown and had an interception.

Nick Duryea, Kennedy Catholic

Duryea piled up 30 carries and rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns as Kennedy defeated visiting Holy Cross 29-20 in the CHSFL AA2 quarterfinals. He also had an interception.

Damari Hamilton, Mamaroneck

The senior cracked the 1,000-yard mark for the season after rushing 11 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns as Mamaroneck stayed unbeaten, defeating visiting Arlington 49-22 in the Class AA semifinals.

Kevin Hartnett, Dobbs Ferry

The sophomore quarterback was a perfect 7 for 7 for 133 yards and a touchdown and ran for another 61 yards and two scores as Dobbs beat Valhalla, 45-20, in the Class C semifinals.

Joey Koch, Mahopac

The senior capped his career by rushing 21 times for 319 yards and a program-record six touchdowns in Mahopac's 49-39 win at Brewster. Koch finished the season with 22 rushing touchdowns, which is believed to be a program record.

Colin McManus, Byram Hills

The senior blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown to swing the Class B semifinal in favor of Byram Hills, which held on to beat Nanuet 14-12.

Rafferty McSweeney, Rye

The junior helped Rye rally to defeat John Jay-Cross River 31-21 in the Class A semifinals. He had three catches for 180 yards and scored a pair of touchodwns.

James Moran, Nanuet

Even in a 14-12 defeat in the Class B semifinals at Byram Hills, Moran ran 37 times for 210 yards and scored both Nanuet touchdowns while playing safety and returning kicks. In the process, he shattered Troy Black's program record for rushing yards in a season.

Colin O'Garro, Iona Prep

The senior had eight carries for 130 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 54-yard touchdown as Iona Prep dispatched Cardinal Hayes 56-13 in the CHSFL AAA quarterfinals.

Bodhi Ogg, Stepinac

In a 35-0 quarterfinal win over Farrell, which beat Stepinac in last year's CHSFL AAA quarterfinals, the senior tight end caught a pair of touchdown passes to help fuel the victory.

Daniel Picart, Pleasantville

The junior spurred the top-seeded Panthers to a 30-7 victory over Ardsley in the Class B semifinals. He had 23 carries for 203 yards and two touchdowns, including a 54-yarder that helped Pleasantville build a 27-0 halftime lead.

Nick Rosaforte, Carmel

The senior had nine carries for 71 yards and scored three times in Carmel's 38-0 victory over North Rockland in the Class AA semifinals. He also recorded a team-high six tackles to help the Rams stay unbeaten and post their second straight playoff shutout and fourth of the season.
