HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER: Lady Indians win third-straight; Model battles to tie

Sep. 22—The Lady Indians (8-2-2) pushed their winning streak to three matches with a 5-1 win Wednesday on the road over Danville (4-11).

Natalie Knecht had two goals, while Emily Couch and Kally Lloyd each also found the net.

Kennedy Stevenson had two assists.

The Lady Indians are set to return to action Friday at the Bruin Classic in Elizabethtown.

Lady Patriots battle to tie on road

The Model Laboratory girls soccer team snapped a three-match losing streak with a hard-earned decision Tuesday on the road.

Maiya Bhandari scored a pair of goals as the Lady Patriots (5-5-3) battled to a 2-2 tie with Estill County in Irvine. Ciah Marks assisted on both goals.

Keeper Claire Garner stopped a penalty shot to help Model secure the draw.

The Lady Patriots are set to return to action today at home against Western Hills.
