TikTok users are freaking out after discovering a series of High School Musical bloopers that somehow made it into the film.

Uncovering hidden movie moments is nothing new for TikTokers. In the past, eagle-eyed movie lovers have called out a “creepy” Disney movie edit, a “secret” joke in Mean Girls and a “Mandela effect” scene in the Harry Potter franchise.

However, the High School Musical gaffes have fans particularly up in arms. For one, TikTok users just can’t believe they never noticed the mistakes themselves.

Take this blooper in High School Musical 2, for example. The moment, called out by users @Jaylin.andrews and @avery_divis, takes place during the song “All For One.”

“Thinking about that time Chad from HSM dropped his mic in the pool and no one noticed,” @jaylin.andrews captioned a now-viral clip calling out the error.

The mistake takes place in the lefthand corner of the shot. Chad, singing over the pool, knocks his microphone off its stand and down into a pool. He then proceeds to visibly react to the gaffe.

“THE WAY HE WATCHED IT GO DOWN HAHA,” one commenter wrote of the error.

“My childhood is ruined,” another added.

“Omg I never noticed until you said something,” another replied.

As it turns out, @jaylin.andrews’ video is actually part of a larger trend. Over the past few weeks, other TikTok users have managed to find similarly hilarious mistakes — including one involving an extra in the series’ first film. This time, it was a TikToker named Nate Redmount who caught the blooper.

“Thinking about the time an HSM extra walked into a corner and the director thought we wouldn’t notice,” Redmount wrote.

In the clip, the characters Chad and Troy are walking in the hallway, as a few extras pace behind them. One of them, on the far right side, walks directly into a wall.

TikTok users were particularly amused by the extra’s supposed reaction — with many claiming she appeared to look straight into the camera during her mistake.
