Fort Myers 48, East Lee 0

The Green Wave (5-2) went on the road and secured a District 3S-15 win over East Lee (0-7).

On Fort Myers' first possession, junior quarterback Christopher McFoley found sophomore Madrid Tucker for a 30-yard touchdown pass to put the Green Wave up 7-0. McFoley, wasting little time on his next possession, used his legs to scamper into the end zone on a 15-yard quarterback draw.

“Chris has been in our program and led our freshman team to an undefeated season," Fort Myers coach Sammy Sirianni said. II thought he did a good job tonight. When he goes our offense runs a lot smoother.”

The Green Wave led 35-0 at halftime despite a strong effort late in the second quarter by the Jaguars' defense that caused a turnover on downs as well as an interception.

The Green Wave will host Cypress Lake on a quick turnaround this Friday in the hopes of securing a win to build momentum for their big match-up against Dunbar the following week. The Jaguars will be looking to secure their first win of the season for their homecoming when they face 5-2 Barron Collier.
