Ravenna softball picked up its first league win since 2017, edging host Streetsboro 3-2 Tuesday afternoon.

Madison Artz earned the complete-game victory for the Ravens, allowing just three runs (two earned) on eight hits.

Ravenna (2-9, 1-6 Metro Athletic Conference) won despite recording just three hits off Streetsboro's Nicole Roman, with Angelina Fuller doubling and Whitney Holmes and Shyanna Dillbeck adding singles for the Ravens.

Lacy Campbell led the Rockets (1-8, 1-5) with three hits while Courtney Evert tacked on a homer.

Baseball

Garfield 16, Memorial 2

The G-Men scored in all four innings they had the chance to hit in Tuesday, with Jackson Sommer knocking in four runs, and Brandyn Bogucki and Vinnie Grandizio tacking on two RBIs apiece.

Carter Bates drew three walks (Garfield drew 10 overall) and tied for the team lead with Bogucki with three runs.

Aidan Hill picked up the win on the mound for the G-Men, allowing just two runs (both unearned) while striking out six in four innings, while Leo Grandizio struck out all three batters he faced in the fifth.

Tennis

Ravenna 4, Field 1

Parker Addison, who recently signed his letter of intent to bowl at Kent State University at Trumbull, provided more cause for celebration with his straight-set win at first singles.

The Ravens also swept their doubles matches, as Ben Rainone and Lily Schofield (first doubles) and Derick Skilton and Aiden Hills (second doubles) both triumphed in straight sets.

Preston Hatcher added a win by default at third singles, while Freddy Wells provided the Falcons' lone win at second singles.
