HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Bourne basketball teams keep the good times rolling

The Bourne High boys and girls basketball team continued their stellar seasons with a pair of wins over Fairhaven on Friday night.

The girls picked up a 60-39 win to improve to 12-2. Paige Meda (17 points), Raeghan Blake (13) and McKinley Wenzel (12) all finished in double digits.

In the boys 69-53 win, Nate Reynolds scored 22 points to led the way for the Canalmen (11-3). Mike Dankert (15 points), Shea Ullo (12) and Leo Andrade (11) finished in double figures.

Girls Basketball

St. John Paul II 48, Rising Tide 19: The Lions improve to 9-3 with the win behind 13 points from Devin Crofford and 12 from Maggie Crofford. All 12 Lions scored.

Dennis-Yarmouth 45, Falmouth 36: The Dolphins improve to 9-3 while the Clippers fall to 8-7. Jaylene Pires (15 points), Savannah Azoff (11) and Siena Lauze (10) all finished in double figures in the win. Senior captain Tara O'Reilly played well in the second half.

Mashpee 67, Carver 60: The Falcons picked up the South Shore League win. Amiyah Peters brought her career point total to 1,452 points, making her Mashpee's all-time leading scorer. Devaun Ford was the previous record holder, with 1,440 points.

Boys Basketball

Cape Cod Tech 39, Sturgis West 33: The Crusaders improve to 11-4.

Nauset 49, Barnstable 44: The Warriors improved to 8-7 with a win on Senior Night.

Dennis-Yarmouth 71, Falmouth 41: Big games from Connor Bosiak (20 points) and Julian Cash (19) led way for the Dolphins (4-10). Trey McPherson anchored the defense and tacked on 13 points. Darrius Azor chipped in 10 points.

Mashpee 57, Carver 46: The Falcons picked up their first South Shore League win in two years. Otis Longman scored a team-high 15 points and Dantae Clark finished just shy of a triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks. Michael Barron had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds). Preston Joia (7 points) and Ryan Triveri (5 points, 6 assists) also chipped in.

Saint John Paul II 50, Rising Tide 32: Zane Thomas led the Lions with 18 points. Tim Cronin (12 points) and Matt Curley (8) played well off the bench. Quinn Mayo scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
