HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Donnelly wins it in OT for Martha's Vineyard girls hockey

Maia Donnelly scored the game winner for the Martha's Vineyard girls hockey team in a 3-2 overtime win over Barnstable on Wednesday.

Elle Mone and Esme Colon had the other two goals for Martha's Vineyard (8-5-2). Alana Nevin, Emily Coogan, Olive MacPhail and Jane Coogan each had an assist.

Claire Hazard and Ally McEneaney each scored, and Grace Holden and Ryley King each dished out an assist for Barnstable (8-6-1).

Girls Hockey

Sandwich 11, Nantucket 0: Casey Pestilli and Meghan Barrett each had a hat trick (first career for Pestilli) and dished out an assist for the Blue Knights in a shutout win over the Whalers (0-11-0).

Katie Barrett and Olivia O'Brien each hit the back of the net twice, and Khloe Schultz added a goal for Sandwich (10-4-0). Adrianna Kelsch dished out three assists, and O'Brien, Marley Dwyer, Sadie Clarkin, and Darby Rounseville each contributed an assist.

Falmouth 6, D-Y/CCA/JPII 0: The Clippers (9-1-3) won their fourth straight with a shutout win over Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II (1-14-0).

ORR -BMW 2, East Bridgewater 2 (OT): The Old Rochester/Bourne/Mashpee/Wareham (6-10-1) co-op team tied with the Vikings.

Boys Hockey

D-Y/CCT/CCA 6, St. John Paul II 2: Cole Rounseville finished with 24 saves for Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Tech/Cape Cod Academy in a win over the Lions (1-10-1). Aidan O'Reilly scored two goals, and Daniel Julian, John Valerio, Robbie McPhee, and Aidan Powers each reached the back of the net for D-Y/CCT/CCA (9-5-1).

Barnstable 4, Nauset 2: Coley Buckler scored twice for the Red Hawks as they beat the Warriors (9-4-0). Shea Semprini and Chad Tordone each scored a goal, and Chase Field added an assist for Barnstable (7-5-1).

Sandwich 5, Falmouth 0: Colin McIver and Chris Cardillo each found the back of the net twice for the Blue Knights as they shut out the Clippers (7-7-0). Harrison Delamn added a goal, and Logan Munk and Jack Connolly each dished out an assist for Sandwich (10-3-1).

Nantucket 4, Old Rochester 1: The Whalers (7-4-0) have won five in a row, and seven of their last eight.

Monomoy/Mashpee 4, Bourne 1: The Monarchs (2-10-1) snapped a nine-game losing streak with a win over the Canalmen (7-7-0).

Boys Basketball

Falmouth Academy 45, Sturgis East 37: Nate Holmes led the way with 29 points and Drew Reeves chipped in with 9 points for the Mariners (6-4) in a win over the Storm (1-10-0).
