HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Dwyer nets first hat trick during Sandwich's goal barrage
Marley Dwyer's first career hat trick came in the nick of time for the Sandwich High girls hockey team on Wednesday.
With 10 seconds remaining in the third period, Dwyer scored her third goal of the day to collect her first varsity hat trick. That goal completed an 11-1 win over Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II on Wednesday.

Emma MacPherson and Khloe Schultz each scored twice for Sandwich (8-2-0). Makena Clark, Darby Rounseville, Adrianna Kelsch and Katie Barrett each scored a goal and had an assist.
Elisabeth Stutzman and Cali Kent each dished out two assists. MacPherson, Casey Pestilli, Olivia O'Brien, Quinn Jordan, and Emily Souke each contributed an assist for the Blue Knights.

Girls Ice Hockey
Falmouth 4, Cape Cod Furies 2: Rylie Devlin finished with a hat trick for the Clippers (6-0-3) to help them remain unbeaten. Sienna Reeves scored both goals for the Furies (6-5-1).
Barnstable 6, ORR-BMW 0: Codi Pickering finished with a shutout for the Red Hawks. Eighth-graders Emma DaSillva and Leah Bertling scored their first varsity goals for Barnstable (6-3-1).
Boys Ice Hockey
Martha’s Vineyard 3, D-Y/CCT/CCA 1: The Vineyarders (8-3-0) make it eight wins in a row with a victory over Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Tech/Cape Cod Academy. Daniel Julian scored the lone goal, with assists from Hunter Boulette and Aidan Powers for D-Y/CCT/CCA (7-3-0).
Barnstable 2, Sandwich 1: Doug Carr scored the winning goal at the beginning of the third period for the Red Hawks as they beat the Blue Knights. Shea Semprini scored the other goal off an assist from Cole Buckler, and Bob Doherty played well in net for Barnstable (5-4-1). Chris Cardillo scored the lone goal for Sandwich (6-3-0).
Nauset 6, Falmouth 2: The Warriors (8-2-2) have won five of their last six. The Clippers have dropped four in a row (5-6-0).
St. John Paul II 8, Monomoy/Mashpee 6: The Lions (1-7-1) won their first game of the season with a win over the Monarchs (1-7-1).
Somerset Berkley 3, Bourne 0: The Canalmen (6-5-0) were shutout for the first time this season.

Boys Basketball
Abington 64, Mashpee 42: The Falcons were led by freshmen Mike Barron with 11 points. Jack Spencer added 8 points, and Dantae Clarke had 5 points, 6 blocks and 10 rebounds for Mashpee (3-8). The Falcons trailed 27-25 at halftime.

Sandwich 51, Marshfield 44: The Blue Knights (6-3) held the Rams to three points in the third quarter to secure the win.

Duxbury 35, Falmouth 21: Elizabeth Janes had 6 points and Julia Roman gave some solid minutes off the bench for the Clippers (6-4) in the loss.
