High School Roundup | Gantz, Callock lead Alliance to road win at South Range
CANFIELD — Mar'Zae Gantz and Jayla Callock scored 12 points apiece to lead the Alliance girls basketball team to a 47-32 victory at South Range Thursday night.
Callock also had nine rebounds and four steals for the Aviators (7-11), while Gantz added six rebounds and five steals, and Mianna Ford finished with five rebounds and four steals.
Alliance led 25-18 at halftime, then outscored South Range 14-5 in the decisive third quarter.
Alexis Giles had 18 points for the Raiders (10-6).
Southeast 53, Lake Center Christian 15
PALMYRA TWP. — Lyndsey Pennington and Reagan Pettigrew scored 11 points each as Southeast won a Portage Trail Conference game handily.
Anna Keto and Abby Fischer finished with 10 points each for the Pirates (9-2, 5-2 PTC).
Rootstown 35, St. Thomas Aquinas 27
LOUISVILLE — Nine Rootstown players scored, led by Nadia Lough's eight points, as Rootstown won a PTC road game.
Lough also led the Rovers (12-4, 7-1) with 14 rebounds. Lindsay Smith added five points and 10 rebounds, while Rylee Durbak finished with five points.
Paris Everett led St. Thomas (5-9, 2-5) with nine points and Avery Bussey scored eight.
