HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Lang leads East Bridgewater girls basketball past Brockton at home

Chloe Lang scored 20 points on Thursday to lead the East Bridgewater girls basketball team to a 59-54 home win over Brockton.

Lily Pavidis added 13 points for EB (6-4), and Phoebe Katilus chipped in 12.

For Brockton, senior Naveiha Madison had a game-high 24 points, plus 11 rebounds and a pair of steals. Junior Tajeiha Madison and freshman Ashya Dingle each added 8 points with Dingle also pitching in with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Junior Sunali Carter (5 points, 5 rebounds) and senior Ngozi Nwosu (2 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks) also contributed for the Boxers.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

West Bridgewater 51, Middleboro 47: The Wildcats edged the Sachems (6-6). Sophia Moxley led Middleboro with 10 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Holbrook 63, Saint John Paul II 31: Owen Burke scored 25 points for the Bulldogs in the road win. Armani Perkins added 16, and Allen Brown chipped in 10.

West Bridgewater 51, Middleboro 40: The Wildcats beat the Sachems at home. Jacob Briggs scored 16 points for Middleboro (6-4).

Calvary Chapel 55, Hull 50: The Pirates lost a non-league home game.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Boston Latin Academy/Fontbonne 6, Stoughton 1: Ava Buckley had the only goal for Stoughton, assisted by Amanda Reid (first varsity point).

BOYS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

Oliver Ames 53, Foxboro 46: Ryan Sarney, Alex Pierce and Landon Sarney swept the mile to help the Tigers (3-1) rally for a Hockomock League win. Jack Rinehart and Dan Nowakowski set PRs in the long jump, and wins from Aidan Dupill (1,000 meters) and Brendan Thomas (2-mile) and second-place finishes in the 600m (Ethan Mahoney), 300m (Nolan Querzoli) and high jump (Pat Dunlap) also keyed the win.

Stoughton 56, Sharon 44: Matt Singletary won the high jump (6-2) and long jump (20-10), Thomas Laz won the shot put (39-4), and the 4x200m relay ran 1:36.25 to power the Black Knights.

Milton 57, Weymouth 43: Milton won a Bay State Conference battle of the Wildcats.

GIRLS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

Oliver Ames 68, Foxboro 32: Amelia Andre won the 55m and was second in the long jump, and OA (4-0) swept the shot put for the second straight meet with Catie Wilson, Bridget Hughes and Nicole Brooks. Taegan Hodges led a sweep in the mile with Iole Apostoli and Kensie Graham, and the Tigers also got wins from Katie Sobieraj (1,000m), Julia Maclaine (300m) and Hailey Goldman (2-mile). Both OA relays also won.

Mansfield 74, Canton 26: In the loss, the Bulldogs got second-place finishes from Katie Oliver (long jump), Emma Massih (shot put), Lianna Camille (300m), Klara Redquest (mile), Jayda Proffit (55m hurdles) and Johanna Bouwmeester (2-mile).

Milton 61, Weymouth 39: In the loss, Casey Dempsey won the long jump and 55m for Weymouth, which also got wins from Ava Dewitt (2-mile) and Madison Campbell (shot put).

Stoughton 66, Sharon 32: Shayla Ford set a new program record in the 300m (:41.24) for the Black Knights in the win.
