HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Marshfield boys hockey skates past Waltham

The Marshfield High boys hockey team stretched its winning streak to seven with a 3-1 win over Waltham on Tuesday.

Jake Hemingway (two goals, assist) led the Rams (18-2-2) to the win. Cam McGettrick (goal, assist) and Tommy Carroll (two assists) both had two-point days.

Jack Doherty handed out one assist and Kevin Murphy made 16 saves. Marshfield wraps up the season against Xaverian on Thursday at noon at The Bog.

BOYS HOCKEY

Concord-Carlisle 2, Plymouth North 0: The Blue Eagles fall to 8-13.

Milton 1, Westford Academy 0: Andrew McHugh made 27 saves in a shutout effort while Andrew Hunt scored the lone goal.

Blue Hills 3, Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth 2: The Warriors knocked off the Hawks.

Canton 2, Boston Latin 0: Colin Blake and Teddy Shuman scored for the Bulldogs while Carson Eagles recorded the shutout.

Norwell 9, Lowell 1: Timmy Ward scored a hat trick and Kevin Leary (goal) was named MVP as the Clippers (20-1) won the Newbury Bank Tournament. Austin Shea, Matt Cerrutti, Connor Vinton, Nolan Petrucelli and Ricky Deagle (first varsity) each scored one goal.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Hingham 3, Arlington 0: Brynn Scott recorded the shutout while Caroline Doherty, Abigail Kennedy and Alexa Harris scored.

Notre Dame Academy 1, Braintree 0: The Cougars picked up the win in the Hingham Showcase.

Duxbury 5, Winchester 1: Reese Porter and Meghan Carney had two goals apiece in the win.

Andover 6, Archbishop Williams 2: Andover broke the game open with three third-period goals.

King Philip 2, Milton 2: Molly Murphy and Kerry Balerna scored for the Wildcats (16-1-4). The game officially counts as a tie, but KP advances in the Milton Tournament.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Middleboro 74, Dighton-Rehoboth 30: Jacob Briggs (25 points) and Charlie Botelho (13) led the way for the Sachems (16-6).

Needham 62, BC High 43: The Eagles dropped the non-league game.

Carver 67, East Bridgewater 43: Kevin Ginnetty drained six 3-pointers to finish with 18 points for the Crusaders (13-7). Tyler Lennox added 10. All 12 Crusaders scored. EB (9-10) needs to win its season finale against Westport on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. to qualify for the state tournament.

Stoughton 79, Milton 53: The Blue Knights won in the Moscardelli Tournament final behind big games from Jayden Costa Haywood (27 points) and Matt Greenspoon (15).

Pembroke 66, Bridgewater-Raynham 47: Brady Spencer (27 points) and Joey Dwyer (20) led the way for the Titans.

Brockton 73, Whitman-Hanson 59: Seniors Cole Champignie (11 points), Drew Daley (7) and Cam Burrows (5) all scored on Senior but the Panthers lost to the Boxers. Isaiah Bean Brittian scored a team-high 27 points.

Medway 46, Cohasset 31: The Skippers end the regular season at 9-11.

Concord-Carlisle 56, Braintree 44: The Wamps end the year at 5-13.

Cardinal Spellman 64, Saint Joseph Prep 39: The Cardinals won the non-league game.

Hanover 67, Somerset-Berkley 52: The Hawks (13-7) won the Crosby-Couto Tournament as David Quinlan was named tournament MVP.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Archbishop Williams 49, Boston Latin Academy 41: The Bishops won the non-league game.

Billerica 57, Fontbonne 43: The Ducks (12-8) lost in the Spartan Classic. Fontbonne has doubled its win total from last season heading into the Div. 3 state tournament. Alix Abelard was named to the all-tournament team and Lilly Blow had 13 rebounds in the loss.

Rockland 63, North Quincy 55: Zariah Ottley, Maddy Hermenau (10 rebounds) and Sydney Blaney all scored 17 points for the Bulldogs (18-2). Ava Bryan (21 points), Autum O'Campos (11) and Mary Saccoach (11) played well in the loss.
