HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Martha's Vineyard boys basketball pushes win streak to 12

The Cape & Islands League-leading Martha's Vineyard boys basketball team won its 12th consecutive game Tuesday night, with a 74-25 triumph over Monomoy.

The win takes the Vineyarders record to 16-1 this season.

Josh Lake carried the load offensively with 20 points to lead all scorers. Martha's Vineyard's Ryan Koster added 14 and Kaio DeCosta chipped in 10 to also finish in double figures. Jackson Rocco dropped 9 to lead the Sharks (4-11).

Boys Basketball

Nantucket 49, Dennis-Yarmouth 48: Nantucket head coach Willis Ferreira picked up his 400th career win as the Whalers (8-7) narrowly beat the Dolphins (4-12).

Fenway 82, Cape Cod Academy 77: The Seahawks (7-9) fell in a tight game against Fenway. Mike Berry had a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Tamarr Washington and Kyle Robke each had 15.

Falmouth Academy 49, St. John Paul II 39: The Mariners (8-5) were victorious against the Lions (2-12).

Rockland 62, Mashpee 47: The Falcons drop to 5-12.

Nauset 62, Sandwich 51: The Warriors (9-7) topped the Blue Knights (1-13), to win their fourth straight game.

Barnstable 46, Falmouth 41: Ka'Ron Ford led the red Hawks (7-10) with 15 points in their win over the Clippers (7-6). Kauan Desa also scored in double digits, tallying 11 points in the win.

Falmouth 43, Barnstable 26: The Clippers improve to 9-7 after topping the Red Hawks (4-12). Teagan Lind led the Clippers with 15 points.

Bourne 58, GNBVT 20: The Canalwomen are now 13-2 after topping Greater New Bedford Voke. Paige Meda led the way with 22 points, followed by McKinley Wenzel, who had 11.

Cape Cod Academy 59, Nantucket 33: The Seahawks picked up the win over the Whalers to improve to 5-11. Nantucket falls to 2-13.

Rockland 60, Mashpee 20: Mashpee falls to 12-4 this season.

Sandwich 56, Nauset 28: The Blue Knights (11-3) topped the Warriors (4-12).
