HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Monomoy girls soccer nets first home win

A rainy day across Cape Cod meant that many of Tuesday's high school games were postponed across all sports.

However, the wet weather didn't stop the Monomoy High girls soccer team from notching a victory.

The Sharks defeated Nantucket, 2-1, to pick up their first home win of the season. Adney Brannigan scored the Whalers lone goal of the game. Rylie Gillis and Riley Hesse scored the Monomoy goals.

Nauset 2, Martha's Vineyard 0: Olivia Avellar led the way for the Warriors, helping her team earn its second win of the season, scoring twice. Her two goals were set up by Emma Easley, and  Lexi Montalto.

BOYS GOLF

Sturgis West 3.5, Nantucket 2.5: The Navigators earned the win over the Whalers.

Upper Cape 8, Diman 1: The Rams won the Mayflower League match.
