HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Pembroke's perfect start continues as Titans move to 10-0

If you're not a believer in the Pembroke High boys basketball team ... well, what are you waiting for?

The Titans continued their undefeated start (10-0) with a 70-69 overtime win over Whitman-Hanson on Wednesday.

Connor Lockhart scored 13 points and had a game-clinching steal late. Brady Spencer scored 30 points and Joey Dwyer chipped in 15.

Pembroke, which is 8-0 in the Patriot League, will aim to push its lead in the Fisher Division to two games when it hosts Plymouth South (6-1, 6-1) on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Stoughton 72, Weymouth 61: Connor Andrews (24 points) and Rayan Sablon (19 points) starred for the Black Knights (4-4) in a non-league win. Matt Greenspoon added 11 points, and Cashmere Mathurin chipped in with 8. Weymouth was led by Edric Louissaint (17 points) and Cam Nordstrom (14 points).

West Bridgewater 55, Avon 28: The host Wildcats improved to 4-3 with the Mayflower Athletic Conference win.

Bishop Connolly 76, Holbrook 63: In the loss, Owen Burke scored 14 points, and Armani Perkins and Allen Brown each had 11 for Holbrook (7-3).

Bristol-Plymouth 66, Blue Hills 64: B-P's Josiah Joyce hit a 3 pointer with 1.2 seconds left to sink the Warriors. Thomas Taylor and Luke Taylor each had 19 points for Blue Hills. Tucker Bumila led all scorers with 27.

Norwell 56, Carver 49: Matt Mullins led Carver with 17 points, and Charlie Condon (11) and Ray Boutiette (10) also contributed in the loss.

Southeastern 68, Oliver Ames 66: Zach Tagliamonte led OA with 25 points in the loss, and Jake Grimaldi added 17.

BC High 65, St. John's Prep 63: BC High improved to 7-0 with the home win.

BOYS HOCKEY

Stoughton/Brockton 7, Cardinal Spellman 2: Sean Farley tallied two goals in the win while Ryan Summers, Joe McNulty, Cooper Card, Colin Alessi and Charlie Caputo chipped in with solo tallies.

Whitman-Hanson 7, North Quincy 2: Junior Matt Solari completed his hat trick by scoring twice in a four-goal third period outburst for the Panthers (5-5). Sophomore defenseman David Osis' first career goal snapped a 2-2 tie in the second period. Chris Ross, Zakkary Spano and Luke Tropeano added goals, and Erik Dean made 29 saves.

Quincy 1, Hanover 1 (OT): The teams skated to a tie at the Sylvia Cup. Joe Hennessy scored for Quincy, assisted by Luke LaMonica. Robbie Hanna scored for Hanover, assisted by Mike Munroe.

Marshfield 6, Plymouth South 0: Freshman Sammy Holte scored twice, and sophomore goaltender Kevin Murphy recorded the shutout as the Rams (7-3-1) beat the Panthers (1-8) in Patriot League action. Cam McGettrick, Jake Hemingway, Nick Souretis and Owen Burke added goals.

Silver Lake 5, Plymouth North 3: Markie Kelleher and Sam Dilley each scored twice, Aiden Duphy had a goal and an assist, and goaltender Peter Bond had a strong game for the Lakers (7-2).

Scituate 4, Pembroke 2: Brendan Boyle scored twice, and Dan Brown and Ben Whitman added goals for the Sailors (8-3). Anthony Birolini scored both goals for Pembroke (4-7).

Canton 7, Oliver Ames 0: Seven different Bulldogs (Sean Connelly, Billy DeLello, Brennen Pecararo, Michael Leonetti, James Young, Jack Digirolamo and Brian Middleton) scored on Senior Night.

Norwell 6, Cohasset/Hull 2: Griffin Vetrano scored twice as the Clippers (7-1) won their fourth straight game. Quinn Simmons, Timmy Ward, Connor Therien and Austin Shea added goals .

Ashland 4, Abington 1: Cullen Crocker scored, assisted by Zach Buccigross, but the Green Wave (6-6-1) lost at Rockland ice Rink. Spencer Merrick made 34 saves.

South Shore Tech 3, Blue Hills 2: The Vikings (6-2-1) edged the Warriors (4-8) in Mayflower Athletic Conference action.

Dartmouth 5, Bridgewater-Raynham 2: The Trojans (3-8-1) lost on the road.

Braintree 7, Natick 0: Garrett Coughlin and Larry Graziano each scored twice, and Kyle Hutchinson had three assists to power the Wamps (6-2-1, 5-0-1) to a Bay State Conference win. Drew Coady, Charlie DiMartino and Deni Tabaku added goals, and Jack Fitzgerald pitched the shutout.

Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth/West Bridgewater 3, Diman 1: Freshman Cam Wilbur scored twice, and Bobby Manning added a goal for the Hawks (5-1, 4-0 Mayflower). Ryan Lebaron made 23 saves, and Keagan Bunker, Kacey Brown, Thomas Leger and Stephen Bamford played solid defense in the win.

Milton Academy 5, Lawrence Academy 2: Brendan Maher scored twice as the Mustangs (6-4-1) fought back from a 2-0 deficit to earn the road win.

Cushing Academy 7, Thayer Academy 4: The Tigers (3-7) lost on the road.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Hingham 6, Plymouth North/South 2: Abbey Kennedy tallied a hat trick in the win while Pippa Jiranek, Ryan Maguire and Lilly Thrun scored one goal apiece for the Harborwomen (6-4).

Braintree 5, Natick 4 (OT): Maggie Burchill's second goal of the game won it in overtime for the Wamps (7-2-1). Savanna Littlewood also scored twice, and Fiona Holland added a goal.

Pembroke 5, Quincy/North Quincy 3: Megan Dorsey had a hat trick, and Erin Doran scored twice as the Titans (4-4) beat Q/NQ (4-4) on the road.

Mansfield/Oliver Ames/Foxboro 2, Westwood 2 (OT): Ava Adams and Maeve Anastasia scored for MOA (1-5-1) in the tie. Julia Muttart, Macy Quinn, Maddie Guilfoyle and Emma Rabinovich were strong defensively in front of goalie Jess Widdop

Canton 4, Medway/Ashland 1: Devan Spinale played well for the Bulldogs in the win.

St. Mary's (Lynn) 4, Notre Dame Academy 1: Junior defenseman Avery Engel had the the lone goal for NDA (3-2-2) in the road loss.

Norwood 5, Milton 1: Deirde Walsh scored her first varsity goal in the loss.

West/East Bridgewater 7, Stoughton 2: Jamie Noonan scored twice as the Wild Vikings (5-7) won at home on Senior Night. Morgan Young, Rachel Smith, Meaghan Powers, Riley Bain and Lindsey Young added goals.

Tabor Academy 3, Thayer Academy 1: The Tigers (6-5-1) lost at home.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Notre Dame Academy 47, Fontbonne Academy 29: The Orlando sisters (Ava with 15 points and 6 assists and Elle with 14 points) led the way for the Cougars. Ava Foley added 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Jane Hilsabeck (8 rebounds) and Lola Paradis were defensive standouts. Fontbonne sophomore Lilly Blow grabbed 14 rebounds in the loss while freshman Jess LaFlamme had 6 points. Senior Esosa Owens added 5 points.

East Bridgewater 63, Sharon 46: Sophie Bradbury (18 points), Haley Murphy (15 points) and Phoebe Katilus (11 points, 9 rebounds) led the way for the Vikings (7-1).

West Bridgewater 45, Avon 18: Jennela Jacobs scored a career-high 22 points in the win for the Wildcats (5-1). Hanelie Cadet scored 7 points for Avon, and Kylie Anderson played well defensively in the loss.

Blue Hills 59, Bristol-Plymouth 41: Bridget Devine, a sophomore from Braintree, scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Warriors (6-6). Kathleen Murphy finished with a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds and Bella Sulfaro added 11 points.

Bridgewater-Raynham 49, St. Mary’s 44: The Trojans (7-2) snapped St. Mary's seven-game winning streak, thanks in large part to building an 18-3 first-quarter lead. Dana Possick (14 points) helped ice the game with a pair of late free throws. Natalia Hall-Rosa scored a team-high 16 points.

Canton 60, Stoughton 35: Kate Bulger scored 13 points for the Black Knights.

Thayer Academy 53, Andover Academy 32: The Tigers (7-2) won on the road.

Bishop Connolly 51, Holbrook 47: The Bulldogs (4-4) lost on the road.

WRESTLING

Whitman-Hanson 47, Marshfield 27: The visiting Panthers (8-2) got pins from sophomore Austin Gamber (126 pounds), senior captain Pat Collett (145) and senior captain Rocco Ruffini (220), plus a 17-2 tech fall from junior Aiden Guiliani (132). Freshman Charlie Lussier (106), senior Joe Boss (113) and freshman Cooper Lussier (152) all won by forfeit. Charlie Lussier is 21-0 on the season and Cooper Lussier is 20-2 with 14 pins.

Oliver Ames 78, Stoughton 6: In the Hockomock League Davenport Division win, the Tigers (15-2-1, 3-1) got pins from senior captain Gio Juste, juniors Ryan Widdop, Kyle Hardie and Victor Romeiro, and freshman Rory Gallagher-Lambert.

Milton 42, Weymouth 6: Milton got wins from Will Doyle, Chris Tooley-Pinnock, Alex Paxhia, Ian Lundeen, Keenan Crowley, Kai Poles and Alex Tran.

Braintree 42, Walpole 30: The Wamps improved to 6-5 on the season.

Cohasset 51, Carver 27: The Skippers won the South Shore League game.

Hingham 66, Plymouth North 15: The Harbormen won a Patriot League match.
